Advice wanted: Isolate vm from rest of devices in network.

I will provide a vm for remote connection. This vm should not see/access other devices in the network. 

 

How should this be set up?

 

I am thinking of adding a vlan where the vm is connected. And vpn to connect remotely (I have a static wan ip). Is this a way to go?
