thomashp
So I had a cache drive fail, which caused the server log to fill up with btrfs messages and docker stopped working. I removed the failed cache drive. I run two cache drives for redundancy. The system seemed to be running fine so updated unraid to 6.8.3. Now my server boots fine, but after a while the front end is unresponsive for the most point and it shows 100% cpu on all cores. Lots of nginx errors in the logs. Dockers stop responding. I have attached all of the diagnostics pulls over the last couple of days this has been happening. Please let me know what might might be causing this. tower-diagnostics-20200326-1222.zip tower-diagnostics-20200326-1704.zip tower-diagnostics-20200327-2024.zip tower-diagnostics-20200327-2220.zip tower-diagnostics-20200327-2230.zip tower-diagnostics-20200328-0042.zip tower-diagnostics-20200328-1009.zip Edited March 31, 2020 by thomashp Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
On the last diags the cache pool balance operation failed, possibly because of fstrim running and crashing, you can reboot and try again or backup cache pool, re-format and restore. Quote Link to comment
thomashp
Yea something weird is going on with the cache drive I just noticed that unraid is report that the 500gb ssd is 1tb. I am trying to move everything off the cache with the mover. What is the best way to reformat? Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
With the array stopped check cache is still sdj and wipe the drive with: blkdiscard /dev/sdj Then start array and format. Quote Link to comment
thomashp
This issues is resolved. It seems btrfs had some issues when one of the drives in my cache pool died. Once the cache drive was reformatted the issue was gone. Quote Link to comment
