tboggie
Hi, I have noticed my mover is taking an average of 7 - 8 hours to move around 300 - 400 GB files during the process. Please, could someone help diagnose what the problem may be and offer suggestions for resolving it? JorgeB
Please post new diags grabbed while mover is running, enabling mover logging first might also help. Quote Link to comment

JorgeB
There's nothing being written to the array or being read from cache, there's only small read activity on disk7. Quote Link to comment
tboggie
Sorry, I downloaded the logs after the mover job finished. I have just rebooted the server, checked mover logging is enabled and manually started the job. Mover is currently running. Please see attached. JorgeB
Seems to be going normally, write speed to the array is close to 40MB/s, which is about right for default writing mode, and at those speeds it should move more than 100GB per hour, are most files similar sized media files or do you some time move smaller files? Smaller files can take much longer to copy/move. Also and just in case you're not familiar with it, if you enable turbo write mover should go much faster, at around 300/400GB per hour, at the expense of all drives spinning up. 1 Quote Link to comment
tboggie
Glad it looks okay. TV show files are usually between 2GB to 5GB per file. Movies usually between 20GB to 90GB per file. I have just enabled turbo write so that should improve moving the process. Thanks for your time. Appreciated. T Quote Link to comment
