romanodog Posted June 19, 2020 Posted June 19, 2020 (edited) Woke up this morning and my server was off. I started it back up and there doesn't appear to be any issues, but I'm wondering if there's a way to get any system logs from before the server went down so I can see if there was a reason for it listed. Woodpusherghd Posted June 19, 2020 Posted June 19, 2020 Going forward you can enable the syslog server in settings. It will write the syslog to your flash drive. I don't think you can recover the log once the system has rebooted if the syslog server wasn't enabled. 1 1 Quote
romanodog Posted June 19, 2020 Author Posted June 19, 2020 Thanks I will do that! I did look through my docker logs and they were shut down cleanly so it wasn't a sudden power down. Makes me feel a little better. Quote
Kevek79 Posted June 19, 2020 Posted June 19, 2020 Unclean shutdown due to an power outage would have resulted in a parity check upon restart of the array. 1 Quote
romanodog Posted June 19, 2020 Author Posted June 19, 2020 After some consideration, the server shut down at about the same time my 7 year old went into the basement to look for something... I have a feeling he pressed the power button. I can't get him to admit it! lol Quote
Kevek79 Posted June 19, 2020 Posted June 19, 2020 Thats at least the better button than the one my godchild used once. she shut down the ups 😜 back then Quote
