freckles88
Hello all, For a few weeks now, my parity drive has been listed as offline. I have tried stopping and starting the array and can't exactly figure out how to fix it. I ran a SMART report and it came up with a few errors, but I'm not sure how to act on them. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do next? Is it just a sign that this 12 TB drive is nearing the end of it's life? I've had it a year and wouldn't expect it to fail yet, but obviously stranger things have happened. I attached my diagnostics report below, any help would be greatly appreciated disk.cfg docker.cfg domain.cfg flash.cfg go ident.cfg network.cfg share.cfg smb-extra.conf super.dat docker.txt libvirt.txt syslog.txt Windows 10.txt appdata.cfg c--v.cfg D-------s (1).cfg D-------s.cfg domains.cfg G---s.cfg isos.cfg M---a.cfg n-------d.cfg system.cfg t---------e.cfg U--------s.cfg w---------k.cfg PNY_CS900_240GB_SSD_PNY1519226554010193B-20200829-1949 (sdc).txt Samsung_SSD_860_EVO_500GB_S598NE0M931513Z-20200829-1949 cache2 (sdd).txt Samsung_SSD_860_EVO_500GB_S598NE0MA11552W-20200829-1949 cache (sdf).txt SanDisk_Ultra_Fit_0401b015f4de0151917f8afc2c5081e6b9fd0f3b0bdc1c7167c88e7e95631065ad150000000000000000000034e063aeff1a841883558107a826b82b-0-0-20200829-1949 flash (sda).txt ST8000DM004-2CX188_WCT0VAV8-20200829-1949 disk3 (sdi).txt ST8000DM004-2CX188_WCT0VB10-20200829-1949 disk1 (sdj).txt ST8000VN0022-2EL112_ZA1F3LXG-20200829-1949 disk2 (sdk).txt WDC_WD100EMAZ-00WJTA0_1EGJG7TZ-20200829-1949 disk6 (sdb).txt WDC_WD100EMAZ-00WJTA0_JEHTYZHM-20200829-1949 disk5 (sdg).txt WDC_WD120EMAZ-11BLFA0_2AHMBL6Y-20200829-1949 parity (sde) - DISK_DSBL.txt WDC_WD80EMAZ-00WJTA0_7HK9T79F-20200829-1949 disk4 (sdh).txt btrfs-usage.txt cmdline.txt df.txt ethtool.txt folders.txt ifconfig.txt iommu_groups.txt loads.txt lscpu.txt lsmod.txt lsof.txt lspci.txt lsscsi.txt lsusb.txt meminfo.txt memory.txt motherboard.txt plugins.txt ps.txt top.txt vars.txt unraid-6.8.3.txt MacinaboxCatalina.xml Windows 10.xml Quote Link to comment
itimpi
Please attach the complete diagnostics zip file rather than the files individually. It is too much hassle to download them individually. Quote Link to comment

You need to re-enable the disk, also good idea to replace the SATA cable first since there are a few CRC errors. Quote Link to comment
freckles88
Thanks so much. Changed the cable (a SAS to SATA breakout cable). Still getting the CRC errors, but the parity drive rebuild has started. I'll know how it goes in a day or so, thank you for the quick reply, it helped a lot, definitely one of the best things about UNRAID - the great community Quote Link to comment
