Failing ECC RAM causing slow Parity Check and High CPU Usage

Sometime during two days (weekend, so usage is minimal) the Unraid UI started to act very sluggish and with a parity check running I was unable to download the diagnostics file.

Canceling the parity check resulted in considerably better responsiveness.  Checked through the logs in the Diagnostics report and I'm wondering if anyone can confirm this is for the result of a failing ECC RAM DIMM?
