    Since the rc3 version, after restarting I get an alert: "VM Autostart disabled due to vfio-bind error", on rc4.1 is the same.

     

    On rc2, nothing like that happens

    Looks like you had a card maybe gpu which has been removed?

    you need to remove this from /boot/config/vfio-pici.cfg

    Simon, could you tell me where to look for this issue in the logs so I can check mine? I have the same autostart error.

    open a terminal and run which will provide list of devices trying to bind.

    And lspci will show devices look for devices that know match.

    Thank you.  I did the commands and got the list, but nothing stands out to me.  i remember having a gpu in the system at the very beggining but I removed it after initial setup, and i removed it from the devices and iommu groups as well (not sure if i said that right, its been like 4 years)    Does this show you anything that stands out to you???

     Yes I have a a USB controller card (4 channel I think but it might be 2 I cant remember)    Im passing through each 1 controller to each of my VMs so we can use hot plug USB keys.

    You lost me on the system devices Im not sure how to do that. Is there a list? ( i just cant seem to find "0500" anywhere)

     

    Also just noticed i have a MCE warning that doesnt seem to be related to microcode  (which somehow just vanished after re-booting.   this is so strange.)

    pretty sure this is the correct section.  I wouldnt mind posting the diagnostics but I looked through them and it seems there is quite a bit of identifiable information in there and there is so much I don't think i could prune it all.

    I suggest untick the two cards in sysdevices. update and then add them back in and update.

    You should be able to do the actions as they will not take effect until boot. But they are bound to vfio. It looks like unraid doesnt not like the errors hence no autostart.

    I have also the same problem. After have beeing moving the gpu I got this error:

     

    My vfio-pci.cfg shows:

     

    • BIND=0000:01:00.0|10de:1402 0000:01:00.1|10de:0fba 0000:06:00.0|1b73:1100 0000:07:00.0|8086:2725

     

    What I have to remove?

    These need updating to 07 and 08 or removing. If you go into the sysdevices uncheck and recheck the correct devices it will update the file.

    I'm having the same problem, and when I navigate to the flash drive in the GUI and download the vfio-pci.cfg file, its entire contents are 'BIND=09:00.0' which corresponds to a previous GPU I had installed.

     

    My question is, how do I remove this? How do I edit the vfio-pci.cfg file? I have Krusader installed, but navigating to /boot shows an empty folder.

    nano to edit or if only entry you can just delete it.

    Hello

     

    I have also a similar error on my Unraid server when I try to start the VM Manager

    After I run the command cat /boot/config/vfio-pci.cfg i get the error BIND=0000:03:00.0|1106:3432

    when i run lspci I see that 03:00.0 RAID bus controller: Adaptec Series 8 12G SAS/PCIe 3 (rev 01) 

    the main Idea is that I have upgraded my Unraid server an I now get this error.

    If I started the VM then one of the HDD's from the Parity will become unavailable and I had to rebuild the parity.

     

    As a next step I have deleted all the VM's from my unraid server and I still get this error ...

     

     

    Can anyone help on this matter ?
