  • Root Login on weggui not possible after update to RC4

    Hi,

     

    I have recently updated from RC3 to RC4.

    After the server rebooted I cannot login with my root credentials anymore.

    No CAPS, no typos.

    Ok I tried to restore back to version rc3 using my backup but still I am not able to login.

    I have tried directly at the console too and not only remote but same error.

    I am 100% sure that the user and password is correct.

     

    I also gave it a try removing the root password from /config/shadow but the same.

    There is no way to logon to the GUI, no matter which user or password.

    Booted RC4 with no plugins and still have the same issue.

    No matter what I try, login to SSH or Webgui is not possible anymore

    Above is a local login failure. Have you tried to login from a different PC into the webGUI?

    I solved the issue for the moment.

     

    I have reformatted the boot usb stick and used USB creator with the option "latest zip" to recreate it.

    Then I removed the root password from /config/shadow and also deleted a plugin in called "usbip" which has dropped an error in the console.

     

    After rebooting I was asked to set a new root password and atm. everything looks promising.
