     Hi, I've updated from rc5 to rc8 and now the shares are inaccessible for multiple machines.

    I tried to do 'samba restart' but that didn't help.

    No config has been changed.

    WebUI is working fine, as well as VM's and dockers.

    Any idea what could be wrong?

    Ha, that fixed it.

    I haven't changed my custom file.

    I removed the following lines from the custom config and it still works:

    Quote

    [global]
    interfaces = "192.168.1.60;capability=RSS,speed=40000000000" "192.168.1.64;capability=RSS,speed=40000000000"

    Why did it work in rc5 but now no longer works? was there a syntax change?

    It's no big deal, not sure if those commands did anything anyway... All my VM's show a 10gbit connection even though the card is 40gbit.

    I still get speeds above 10gbit when transferring directly to nvme cache.

    Thanks for the fix!

    It's not a good idea to add shares the way you have to smb-extra.conf.  Smb-extra.conf is intended only for a few global settings.  The reason it stopped working with rc8 is probably because of samba changes.

    The latest Unraid versions limit the listening interfaces for samba. This is an automated process and should not be overridden.

    With those lines included you were telling samba only to listen to those two interfaces and not the main interface.

    The speed values are only used as indication, the true link speed of the interface is never changed.
