• VM tab in UI without content (6.12.0 RC1)

    • Solved Minor

    Hi,

i just upgraded from 6.11.5 (last stable version) to 6.12.0 RC1) and WebUI does not show any content in VM tab.

My configured Autostart VM is starting up and is working, but the VM tab is empty, that's not sooo good :)
    I can't access my VMs anymore ;)

    Can you please check it?

    Thanks!

    Edit:

    Another issue:

USB tab in UI is loading and loading, but nothing is coming 😕

Rest of UI tabs is OK with content on 1st look

    reboot did not help ;)

There is already a bug report for this. Likely you have a VM with a PCI device that is defined and the PCI ID does not exist on the system. Are you running AMD as some reports of the PCI ID changing under the new kernel. I have create a fix which is in rc2 when it releases.

virsh list --all will show you VMs Do you see any on the dashboard?

Yes, I do passthrough some PCI devices - and maybe one of them is not available anymore now (1 USB hard disk for sure).

Yes - VMs are shown on the dashboard!
virsh list --all also shows all VMs.

The USB tab is that for USB manager? Have you updated the plugin to the latest version?

Yes it's the USB Manager and yes - it's on the latest version.
I just uninstalled and reinstalled it, now it's starting again.

But it seems not to be working...can't do anything with my USB devices now?

    I heavily use(d) this plugin 😕

Or the PCI ID have changed.

If you want a work around before rc2. you need to edit.

/usr/local/emhttp/plugins/dynamix.vm.manager/include/libvirt.php and this is the code change

To be expected.   Since the next rev of the OS is imminent I'd reapply the change manually rather than automatically which may cause you issues if you forget about it
