My Servers Flash Backup Causing Constant Disk Activity

Two possibilities, either 1) a file on the flash drive is being updated regularly, which means the flash backup has to run regularly or 2) something is wrong with flash backup.

 

Please DM me your /var/log/gitflash file, along with a link to this thread.

 

The easiest way to get it is probably to open a web terminal and type:

   cp /var/log/gitflash /boot

and then grab the file off your flash drive

I'm not sure it will be useful now. I've since rebooted and re-enabled flash backups and everything seems to be going ok.

It looks like there are some intermittent problems connecting, but as long as it does connect after a few hours it should be fine. We're working on improvements to reduce the intermittent problems.

@ljm42 Could the File Integrity plug-in cause problems with the My Servers flash backup? Where does it store the files locally so I could exclude it from integrity checking?

The checksums are stored as part of the extended attributes for the file they relate to.

I meant, where does My Servers store the flash backup files before they get uploaded?
