User / Description field will not accept colon

This probably because the Unix passwd file (which containes all the users and primary metadata like description, etc) uses the colon as a field separator. Dunno if it can be fixed.

Probably because the description is used in the standard Linux /etc/passwd file which uses colon as a field separator.

It's easy to do without colons here, assuming you know they are not allowed.

 

Seems like it would be appropriate to provide a notice that colon is not allowed, so people won't need to wonder why registering a new user or editing a user keeps failing.
