  1. I want to try out the leaked Windows 11 but obviously want to do so as securely as possible. Is there a way to prevent the VM from having any network access at all? Trying to prevent network access as mentioned but also access to unraid or any shares. Is it as simple as not installing the virtio network drivers once booted into VM?
  2. Can I copy the domains folder over with cp --sparse=always in that case?
  3. I want to add an SSD as a new cache pool for my VMs to take advantage of the multiple cache pools feature. What is the best method for moving my vdisks over to the new VM cache pool?
  4. Some additional info that I found this morning. I had a graphics card passed through as you can see in the xml but I switched graphics to VNC to see if that helped but also to view the boot process as nothing was being output through the graphics card. I made a new Ubuntu VM and tried assigning the removed graphics card removed from the Windows machine but VM starting the Ubuntu VM gives an execution error saying that the Windows machine is still using the PCI device. I tried restarting the VM manager but now I get a Libvert service failed to start error. I didn't remove the autostart flag from the Windows VM which I wish I had done now. I do have backups of my libvirt.img file from the CA Backup/Restore plugin and a VM backup from JTok's beta VM Backup plugin (plugin deleted last week so that image is slightly older.) Updated diag: kinderserver-diagnostics-20210601-0639.zip
  5. My Windows VM crashed an is no longer operational. The machine hangs on a black loading screen or the Preparing Automatic Repair screen. How do I access Windows Repair to fix any corrupted system files that may be hanging the machine up? kinderserver-diagnostics-20210531-2120.zip Windows 10 Home.xml
  6. So I just swapped cases and decided to reorganize my pci devices to add another card while I had everything out and now I can't access my VMs. The VM tab and the VM Manger in settings just timeout. Do I have to move everything back to their original positions? I have 3 GPUs installed. 1 for plex and 1 for each of 2 VMs. kinderserver-diagnostics-20210529-1814.zip
  7. I ran the repair and got the warning saying you need to provide the -L option to proceed which I did. Everything completed and the drive is mountable but all of the files (maybe a lot missing) are in lost+found. Hosed at this point? I have the old drive so I can try to recover from that one if it comes to it. I guess thinking ahead if I do attempt to recover the files from the failed (failing?) hard drive would I simply start the array and rsync the file back to their respective shares?
  8. I believe it was showing unmountable. Will this have adversely affected the rebuild?
  9. I just completed a successful rebuild after replacing a failed drive only now the new drive says it is unmountable. The filesystem says xfs when the array is started but when I stopped the array and removed the drive it does not show a filesystem in unassigned devices. I have seen others have success running xfs_repair but I'm not sure if that is applicable in my situation. Any suggestions on how to proceed? kinderserver-diagnostics-20210515-1355.zip
  10. I reseated the sata cables and rebuild is back to work nominally.
  11. I replaced a failed disk and during the rebuild I got a notification for read errors. I now see a drive that is skyrocketing read errors and the rebuild estimate is now at 289 days. A few more days than expecting. The drive with read errors is at 40k and counting so possibly a loose cable? Can I just cancel the rebuild to investigate and begin again?
  12. You were correct, the docker image wouldn't start with the 18.20 drivers. Guess that card is older than I realized. Thanks for the response though!
  13. lxnd, I am getting the following message in the logs: amdgpu_device_initialize: DRM version is 2.50.0 but this driver is only compatible with 3.x.x. Safe to take that message to mean my card in unsupported? (Radeon HD 7870)
  14. I'm having issues with my AMC script when processing tv shows. It appears as though AMC is forcing the title to be a movie but also recognizes to place it in the tv_shows folder. Has anyone experienced this situation? 15. So unraid has completed rebuilding both drive and I haven't found anything of note that is causing me issue at this time. Back in business! Thank you to everyone that helped me through this. It is truly appreciated.
  16. I got a notification that Parity sync / Data rebuild was completed and that Disk 7 has returned to normal operation but disk7 shows as "Unmountable: No file system." I've read on other posts in similar situations that I may need to run a filesystem check. Would it be correct to Stop the array and run a filesystem check on disk7 while in maintenance mode using the process from the wiki in the link below? https://wiki.unraid.net/Check_Disk_Filesystems#Checking_and_fixing_drives_in_the_webGui tower-diagnostics-20200520-0908.zip
  17. Clearing up one more question since I think it may technically have been done out of order. My disk7 was replaced and the new drive placed into the disk7 slot on the Main page prior to starting these instructions but without ever restarting the array anytime after. So there was a replacement in the disk7 slot on Main when the first step "-Tools -> New Config -> Retain current configuration: All -> Apply" was run. Could this cause a potential issue?
  18. Ok, just for my sanity, which is a slow process so thank you for your patience here, my GUI was on the Plug-Ins tab to uninstall the plugin that was giving an error when I ran the invalidslot command. Is going to the Main tab goign to trigger the same effect as a refresh? Should I go to the main tab and rerun the command?
  19. Does the invalidslot command work immediately? There is no output from the command in the terminal.
  20. May 19 08:07:44 Tower emhttpd: import 30 cache device: (sdc) SPCC_Solid_State_Disk_AA000000000000000807 Did I need to run invalidslot with a 30 for parity? Edit: why did i think the cache was my parity? not enough coffee maybe...
  21. I am getting the following error immediately when running the mdcmd cmd Warning: Division by zero in /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/parity.check.tuning/parity.check.tuning.php on line 62 This is a copy from my terminal for what I ran exactly root@Tower:~# mdcmd set invalidslot 7 29
  22. I've been looking for the correct usage for invalidslot and found this recent post of yours Just so I don't botch anything, my understanding is that above the 1 is the disk being rebuilt and 29 is the parity correct? Since I need to rebuild disk7 then make disk1 enable I would run: mdcmd set invalidslot 7 29

Then move on and replace disk1.
