  1. Good point. I DIDN'T have it set up on the switch which was probably why. New switch will be here tomorrow so maybe I will try it out again.
  2. I have been able to figure it out. I disabled jumbo frames (MTU 9000) by setting it back to a MTU size of 1500. I was then able to utilize the NFS mount as desired. I do have a few questions though. Why is it recommended to have a MTU size of 1500? Is technology better now and MTU 9000 is no longer needed? It was my thought that a MTU size of 9000 would allow bigger frames to be transmitted at once thereby giving more throughput and utilizing my network bond. I am running a bond of 4 network ports (at least for now until I can get 10GbE configured) and didn't know if that came into play.
  3. I should also add that when I try to stop the unRAID server so that I can remove the NFS mount, it won't stop. It just hangs.
  4. When I try to export a NFS mount from my Synology server over to my unRAID server, I am able to mount it with no issue. However, when I try to just do a simple ls to confirm I can see the data in the mount, it just hangs and I am unable to ctrl-c out of it. If I go to look at the shares on the unRAID server, that also hangs for ~10 minutes and then gives up. I need some help trying to troubleshoot. If someone can point me in the right direction on where to look for logs, that could help a bit. I looked in /var/log/messages but found nothing so that may be the wrong location. Let me know.
  5. Thank you. That got rid of the bond. Do I need the bridge "bro"? It is my understanding that it is for VMs and Docker but I am not setting those up yet and I would like to disable it. I don't want to disable it and then not be able to get to the server though.
  6. I have a new array I am configuring. I am trying to get the networking right before starting the array for the first time so this is a newly created flash drive and I have assigned all my disks but not started the array yet. I have a 4-port NIC that has two 10GbE ports that are not plugged in. They are numbered physically on the card as ports 1 and 2. The other two ports are numbered 3 and 4 and they are GbE ports. I have port 3 connected to the network only. When I first boot the system, it creates the network (see photo below) with eth0 in bonding mode. If I try to disable bonding, I lose connectivity to the array. I have to then login at the console and delete the /boot/config/network.cfg and the network rules file and reboot. When the array reboots, it configures the network with bonding enabled again. The eventual goal is to do have it configured as follows: ports 3 and 4 configured as a bond. ports 1 and 2 configured as a bond but connected directly with twinax cable to another server's 10GbE card so that I can migrate my data off the old server over a 10GbE connection. So I am trying to start simple and just bring up one GbE interface with a single ethernet cable connected and no bonding. Any help would be appreciated.
  7. Thanks. I will scrub all the disks and replace each as needed.
  8. PS - I *think* one of those disks that I saw read errors on was Disk17.
  9. I recently had a disk go bad so I replaced it. Took about 18 hours to rebuild from parity. During that rebuild, two disks showed read errors. I do not remember the disk numbers. I subsequently upgraded the OS and then rebooted and started a parity check. Now I am wondering if I shouldn't have went into each disk, ran a BTRFS scrub first and then ran a parity check? Just want to make sure I am doing things in the right order. Diags attached. unraid-diagnostics-20210712-1728.zip
  10. I was able to get the new cd key to boot. I had to set the boot to Legacy devices.
  11. Thanks. I haven't seen any crashes in a few days since this one. Fingers crossed!
  12. I agree. I have been an Unraid Pro key user for a number of years and I am running the system off a legacy Sandisk Cruzer Ultra fit. Works great. I purchased a Sandisk 32GB USB 3.1 Gen 1 Ultra Fit flash drive to build a new server with a Unraid Pro key. The USB creator will not see the new flash drive. I tried the manual method and the server will not boot from the drive. It does see the drive in the bios and I have it as the first boot unit. Not sure why this would not work unless it is because it is USB 3.1 and not USB 2.0. Sounds like we need an update to support newer versions of USB flash drives. The old ones are getting harder to find. Just my .02.
  13. My Unraid server has been up for a number of days now and this evening, it has crashed. I am providing the diags and hoping someone may be able to tell me why it crashed? unraid-diagnostics-20200509-2240.zip
  14. Admins: Good to mark this one closed. Thank you for your help!
  15. That has been created and the path has been changed. What about all of the files in the original /download/intermediate directory? Do I need to move them or is nzbget smart enough to finish them out of the original directory and put new ones in the new directory?
  16. Thanks for refreshing my memory. I am trying to lay this out. So would I create another share, something like "download_processing" and then set it to cache Prefer and then map it to the docker container and then inside nzbget, set the InterDir to the download_processing share?
  17. This has been completed. Please find the new diags attached. I am thinking that the only thing I want download wise is the .rar, .par files and for the completed show or movie to be moved to slower storage after that is processed. Just letting everyone know the goal going forward. Not sure it is possible (IE: if it is just downloads or nothing). unraid-diagnostics-20200501-2151.zip
  18. Quick question, should I have left the docker and VM services stopped before running the mover? Just making sure I didn't need to start them up first.
  19. Mover is still running. I will follow up once done.
  20. Hey @johnnie.black Can you tell me what the proper memory speed is for my system? I can't understand that guide.
  21. I set the cache on the shares. Hopefully I got it right. Would appreciate any optimization or correction advice. New diags attached. unraid-diagnostics-20200501-0845.zip
  22. Ok, I did see that but was not sure if I was or not. I'll have to go into the BIOS and set it. I could not tell which one I needed as I really don't know what generation Ryzen that I have. I bought it new this week. The system is still running this morning.
  23. Here is a new diag. We can tackle the cache setup tomorrow. unraid-diagnostics-20200430-2336.zip
  24. My buddy and I installed the CPU and cooler. I have built many systems over the years. I now have nzbget running. So far, no crashes. I am going to let it run through the night but I believe this fixed the issue with the crash: Ryzen on Linux can lock up due to issues with c-states, and while this should mostly affect 1st gen Ryzen there are reports that 2nd and even 3rd gen can be affected in some cases, make sure bios is up to date, then look for "Power Supply Idle Control" (or similar) and set it to "typical current idle" (or similar). If it goes through the night, I will call it successful.
