  1. Hello all, I have an unRaid system with an i9-10900K, Gigabyte Z490 Vision G motherboard, 64gb ram and several HDD's. I run several dockers, mainly for media, including Emby, along with a Win11 VM which has a dedicated 2TB Sabrent nvme drive. This VM is off whenever I'm not using it and so it's allocated cores (12) are redundant the rest of the time (if there is a way to have unraid use these cores when the VM is off, that would be a bonus to my more pressing question below). I don't run it hard and everything usually ticks along fine, except for the temperature levels my CPU and motherboard reach, which when under load, can exceed 100+ degrees. I have ample air cooling, located in the loft, which is like an icebox, however to be extra cautious I have an AIO Kraken X53 arriving tomorrow to replace my Noctua CPU cooler. I have attached below how I have assigned cpu cores, however I am leaning towards there being an issue there that is causing the excess heat issue due to a banner always appearing at the top of unRaid when I enter the "cpu pinning" page that states "CPU Isolation: A reboot is required to apply changes". I have attached a screenshot of my Syslinux Configuration page as I read elsewhere that this may be the culprit, but I don't see the issue. Any advice as to where I may be going wrong would be greatly appreciated as I'm getting to the point of not chancing leaving the server running when I'm not at home for fear of the house burning down. ๐Ÿ˜‚
  2. For anyone experiencing issues with Nzbget hanging whilst unpacking, the below fixed it for me; ***Full credit goes to @MagicSG1, found a post of his on reddit.
  3. Hi, I'm sure this is a painfully easy question, but how do I disable the CD-drive in my Win11 VM? I have just updated to the latest RC and now the TPM is passing through correctly. As such, I want to enable Bitlocker, however it is demanding that I first remove all removable drives before it will allow me to proceed.. Many thanks.
  4. I think I would have shed a tear if it had been, as most of my cables are buried in the walls now. ๐Ÿ˜‚ Thanks again for your help.
  5. Hello mate, Thank you for all of your suggestions. I started working through them and in the end I reset the router and all access points, readopted them and setup the UniFi Controller Docker so I could try and better see any bottlenecks, everything now appears to be running smoothly. ๐Ÿ‘ Thanks again.
  6. Hello, Thank you kindly for replying so quickly. My connection is wired, however I have also tried via 5GHz WiFi and I am having the same problem. For reference, I have two of these WiFi access points in the house; Ubiquiti
  7. Hello, Apologies if this is in the wrong section, wasn't quite sure where to ask. I'm running unRaid on a Gigabyte Z490 Vision G motherboard, Intel Core i9-10900K, 64gb ram and Cat8 cables throughout the house. I have my server and WAN connection going straight into an UBNT EdgeRouter X and then that feeds into a Linksys LGS116V2 (16 port), which the rest of the house is connected to. My issue is whenever I try to "direct play" 4K files via Emby/Unraid, some work but most of the time they buffer/stutter and some even display no image. The video bitrate averages between 75-100mbps for the movies. I'm sure I'm missing something obvious, but shouldn't these be playing without issue? For reference my unRaid server is doing nothing else, just streaming when I'm having these issues. If any further information is needed to help diagnose the problem, please let me know.
  8. Hello all, In the end I decided to use the free option that Bitwarden provides and backup to their servers. I didn't want to run the risk of needing to gain access to my server and there being a connection issue.
  9. Hello all, Can anyone possibly shed any light on what I may be doing wrong. I have all of my running dockers pinned to use just two cores. Several more are reserved for my Windows 11 VM and unraid itself should be left with four cores. My issue however is that it would appear that these allocations are not being respected as my system has all non-isolated CPU cores pegged at 100% several times a day. This causes the system to become unresponsive for several minutes at a time. Sabnzbd is my only container that is doing anything, however with the above CPU allocations surely this should not impact the rest of the system. Lastly, this may or may not have any impact, but whenever I enter the "CPU Pinning page", even just to review settings and not make any changes, I get a banner at the top of the screen (until I reboot) stating; "CPU Isolation: A reboot is required to apply changes". Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  10. Really looking forward to this!!
  11. Hello all, My system has been running extremely slowly with my allocated unRaid cores pinning at 100% constantly and the system freezing. Checking the system logs there are hundreds of the following lines; I have checked my plugins and no dynamix.my.servers is installed.
  12. Hello, Many thanks for the reply, good to know that it's in the works. For me, passing through the TPM would be ideal as I only have/use the one VM. ๐Ÿ‘
  13. Hello, I have a Windows 11 VM running on my unRaid server however with the latest updates from Microsoft, they are starting to enforce the TPM requirement. I run a Gigabyte Z490 motherboard and have enabled via the bios the "Intel Platform Trust Technology (IPTT)", however the VM is still not detecting any TPM. I have read on the forums that I can either pass through the TPM or emulate it. I would prefer to passthrough. Checking my devices list, I can see no mention of the module or anything that may have ownership for it. Can someone please advise as I have ran out of ideas and have arrived at a crossroad with unRaid and Windows 11. Many thanks.
  14. Hello mate, how is your emulator coming along? Very interested to hear about this.
  15. Apologies, I should have checked for an update before posting my question. There is an update and it's fixed matters. Thanks for the very speedy response.
  16. Hi, Does anyone happen to know what "puremagic" is? Woke up this morning and checked my server however Sabnzbd stopped around 01:00hrs this morning. I haven't touched anything, the only thing I can think of is that there may have been an update but I'm not sure.
  17. I am having the exact same issue, I'm running all of my dockers through Binhex-privoxyvpn and everything is great. However, whenever I try to run ANY torrent docker (Binhex's Deluge or anything else) through Binhex-privoxyvpn, I run into the exact same issue as yourself. I look forward to seeing if you are able to fix this issue. Please let me know if you resolve it away from this post. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป ***EDIT*** The solution is here (Q24 & Q25); https://github.com/binhex/documentation/blob/master/docker/faq/vpn.md You need to update you VPN_INPUT_PORTS variable in Privoxyvpn with the port of the container you wish to access. This was implemented as part of Binhex tightening security.
  18. Hi, I hope someone can help me out please. I have now routed all my containers through Binhex-privoxyvpn and its all working great, EXCEPT for Binhex-deluge. I have ensured that the exact same settings on both Deluge and Privoxy have been used however when I start up the privoxy GUI it just seems to hang with no message. The logs seem to show everything as fine. For reference I'm using Mullvad Wireguard. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks. ***Just to add, I can "curl ifconfig.io" inside the Deluge container and it returns the same IP as Privoand all the other routed containers.***
  19. Hi, Each time I enter the CPU Pinning page I get the following message at the top of the screen; Looking at my boot config file however, I do not believe they match up. I didn't want to dive in ant start changing things without asking; No amount of restarts fixes the issue. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
  20. Hi, thanks for your reply. I haven't passed through the audio yet to be honest as I was initially focused on the video, then when I saw the continued slow down of the whole system I didn't want to dig any deeper until I got things right. Oops that's my mistake on the CPU miss mismatch, I took the screenshot before I made the change, the CPU isolation is definitely the same as the VM. Strangley though, I always have the message at the top that; "CPU Isolation: A reboot is required to apply changes" no matter how many times I restart. I'll try Q35, cheers. I only settled on i440fx because of the tutorial I was following, I don't even know the difference between them. MSI fix? I wasn't aware of one, but thanks I'll give it a search and see if it helps.
  21. Hi, It happened again yesterday and so I've attached my diagnostics zip. The system is completely unresponsive when this happens and sometimes it takes a few minutes for it to snap out if the trance it's in. I've even tried pinning my cores for various tasks, but this makes no difference. Regards. tower-diagnostics-20210809-1425.zip
  22. Hi, Been using unRaid for around two years now and love it, especially the community. The continued flow of updates is first class. The only thing I would reiterate is what has been mentioned above, ZFS and VM Snapshots are the two things that I would really like most in unRaid. Thanks as always and keep up the great work!
  23. Hi, I am running a Windows 11 VM on the latest unRaid. I have an i9-10900K, with 42GB of ram allocated to the VM (22GB to unRaid) along with a 2TB SSD dedicated also, I also have a 3060 passed through. The machine feels like it could be a little snappier if I'm honest, but I don't know where to begin. I have all the latest drivers and everything is showing correct in the device manager. My VM template is as follows; <?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8'?> <domain type='kvm' id='3'> <name>Windows 11</name> <uuid>REDACTED</uuid> <metadata> <vmtemplate xmlns="unraid" name="Windows 10" 24. Hi, Some time ago I moved from the "array startup passphrase" option to having a keyfile hosted on Google to autoboot. I have now gotten rid of Google and want to revert to using a passphrase each time the array starts. My GO file currently reads; #!/bin/bash # Start the Management Utility /usr/local/sbin/emhttp & wget 'https://docs.google.com/uc?export=download&id=REDACTED' -O /root/keyfile modprobe it87 force_id=0x8628 Is it as simple as deleting line four and unRaid returns to default? Thanks.
