  1. Thanks for your help, that is good to know, Afaik The only disks that are disable are the parity disks, i have been unable to figure out why or how to fix this. I've tried changing drive and switching slots. I have dual 920w PSUs in my supermicro case, i dont see how it was recommended to be a power issue and i havent been able to find reasonable replacements. The Scheduler seems to be set to be correcting. i disable it but it also set to yes. afaik i was enabled. Ive also see that my Log is 100% at 188 GBs, i would like to restart the server but dont want to cause any more damage. Until i know what is going on with my parity, i trying to be cautious. Considering my next step is to reboot? Maintenance mode and a smart check of the offending drive?
  2. link to previous post regarding that parity issue,
  3. while at work, i received an email about a disk have a read error, i pulled diagnostics, stopped docker to prevent anymore writes or reads. i ordered replacement drives, which should be here tomorrow. i didn't notice til after but there was a monthly scheduled parity that occurred after the fact. my parity was listed as valid prior to this error but i doubt it was working since the disk status were disabled, i was told it was a likely a power issue, however i was unable to complete troubleshooting that parity issue. so here i am wondering how much damage has been done. thanks for your help. nastradamus-diagnostics-20210901-0546.zip

  6. update, i've switched the cables and try different drive slots, i ve just given up and want to get this done. i had already purchased 2 replacements drives so i'm rebuilding parity and go to try to fix use the previous parity drives as array drives after i test it with preclear. if they are working i'll try to RMA. are there any suggestion on the route i should take on testing these drives? should i just rma and not bother for sanity/ to ensure no failures done the road? 7. ok ill try that, im using a Supermicro backplane. maybe a different drive slot or try a new deive in the current slots.
  8. Good Morning, I am having some trouble with my parity drives after changing to a new chassis. I had a dead PSU or MB and changed MBs and PSU. This happened when i was trying to install a I/O Shield, and properly shutdown Unraid. It maybe possible that a improper shutdown happened, but i don't have any record or situation that i am aware of. I am being told that these drives have read errors, etc. I was able to complete a parity check with no issues. I've also stopped the array and unassigned the two drives and restarted the array, followed by a re-adding the parity drives to the same result. I also have two spare drive to replace these drive in case there are bad. i am attaching the the most up to date dianostics. Any input would help. i assume from my own research that i would have to make a new config as the next step, as i am assuming these drives are not bad, thank you nastradamus-diagnostics-20210129-1304.zip
  9. Ok, it took me many reads and rereads but I got it. I checked the box to format all unmounted drives and it worked. Thank you. Itimpi In the future for my remaining drives I will do the same. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Yes, after preclearing and before adding it the array. Ok, so remove the drive and precleared again? There was no data on it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Yes, I this is the order that it happened, One the drive was precleared I selected to format the drive, selecting xfs encrypted. I remember spaceinvader mentioning that I wouldn’t need to format a precleared drive. however I thought it would add itself to the array or show an option to when It was done. It didn’t and when it finished all I saw an Unmounted drive that needed be formatted. I guess at that point I should have just stopped the array and added the drive? 13. good evening, i have started to use unraid this week and i am trying to understand where i should go from here. i have created the array with new drives as xfs and added data to them from my previous drives. i am now at the point where i am adding the previous drives to the new array. i've preclear and formatted to encrypted xfs a drive to add to the array. after completing the format its file system is listed as auto, un mountable - no file system. there was no data on the disk and smart has no error at any point of process. how can i dianose and fix this? where do i go from here? thank you
