  1. Hello, so I am moving from Synology NAS to UNRAID. I have about 40TB of data to move. I copied all the data over 3x 18TB drives. Synology only supports formatting to ext4. I formatted the drives in Synology and started my 4 days of copying via a USB dock. Back to my UNRAID, I connected the drives via the onboard SATA connector. UD, lsscsi and lsblk sees the drives, but I can not mount them so I can access them in Krusader to transfer the files to my UNRAID. I played with the switches in UD+, but when I got to /mnt/disks/ I see nothing "0". I searched and read thru some of the comments but, there seems to be mixed information on EXT4 support for UD and UD+. I would like to avoid transferring 40TB via 1G network connection. Any help would be appreciated. BTW I know some people will recommend other methods. But I would really like to transfer data SATA (ext4) to UNRAID Here is the error from logs when I hit the mount button.
  2. Hello I am having the same issue. Can you please tell me where the impi.cfg file is located? I tried to uninstall/install ipmi-tool and still get the exact errors. I think put in the wrong UN/PW. It was working good, before I tired to mess with the settings page.
  3. The flash seem to be fine. I uninstalled Plex and Dynamix and still can not add a share. Somethin weird is going on. Basically: -- stop array -- assure "enable user share" = "yes" -- there is nothing in share to create "only says can no view share while array is stopped".
  4. "Just a quick thing I noticed in regards to the dynamix thing: I can only access shares that were created pre-installing-dynamix. When I try to create shares now it will never work. I click on create, and it doesn't get created. At one time a share got created (it appeared under 'shares') but disappeared after a reboot. There is no trace of it on any of the disks." Did you ever get this resolved. I turned of web server. I also checked that "enable user shares" is "yes". Thank You
  5. asr10 user I am in the same shoes. I got a Supermicro MB, however it does not support S3 Sleep. I mainily bought a SMC MB for the IPMI functionality. I have SF installed but have not had any luck with sleep. I would be interested if you find a solution. I also use my unraid as my media cloud.
  6. It is a known "race condition" existing in unRAID (it depends on your network settings). Next version of SF has a workaround to overcome a not ready network condition. It will be released soon. Meanwhile you can manually install the plugins (telnet into your box and issue the installplg command). Once a package is locally present it is not necessary to download it upon system reboot. In other words a system reboot will work fine... Thank you very much for the help, I did install it manually and it is now working. I am now on the venture to get sleep working. I installed the plugin but it does not work. I tried to manually set the system to sleep mode wiht echo 3 >/proc/acpi/sleep and i got this error /proc/acpi/sleep: No such file or directory. It maybe because I have a SuperMicro Motherbaord X9SCi which only supports (S1). BTW this is what the error I get when I run the script thru SF. sh: line 0 echo: write error: No such device.
  7. Hello guys new so please be gentle. I am having issues accessing simplefeatures GUI. I followed the instruction. copy to /boot/config/plugins folder then reboot. I also tried to install manually, however everytime I type in //tower it goes to the basic UI. I am not a linux expert. installplg simple-features.core.webGUI-1.0.5-noarch-1.plg installing plugin: simple-features.core.webGUI-1.0.5-noarch-1 Warning: simplexml_load_file(): I/O warning : failed to load external entity "si mple-features.core.webGUI-1.0.5-noarch-1.plg" in /usr/local/sbin/installplg on l ine 13 xml parse error
  8. First of all still new to unRAID. I finally got all three of my XBMC's boxes up and running. I currently have a ReadyNAS NV+ running in x-raid (2TB X 4 Drives). Working fine but looking for more centralized data and larger capacity. UnRaid appealed to me because it spins down the drives. My Objective: Build the lowest power server with 8 drives. Use this server to hold all media and files, run SAB, couch potato etc... have as MySQL server. Equipment I currently have (I know some of the equipment overkill) 8 x 3TB WD drives 1 x 64 GB SSD (Cache Drive) 1 x Gigabyte Z77MX-D3H 2 x (2X4GB) GSkill memory 1600. 1 x i5 3570K processor stock Intel Fan 1 x Silencer Mk II PS (+3.3V@25A,+5V@25A,[email protected], [email protected],+5VSB @ 6.0A) 1 x LSI 9207-8i SAS Controller 1 x NZXT Source 220 CA-SO220-01 Black Steel 2 x 120mm fans for front of case. 1 x unRAID Pro License (Pending feedback from this forum) Here are my questions: -- Any feedback on the build (Besides it being overkill) -- Should I get a bigger SSD for cache drive? -- What are some gotchas I should look out for? -- Should I think about another RAID solution (FlexRAID, WHS etc...) Again my goal to be power conscience.
