  1. How do I go about port forwarding qbittorrent on UNRAID with my router? I know how to port forward to my computer but I don't think I am doing it right for qbittorrent on UNRAID. My download and upload speeds for some torrents are really slow and I believe this to be the issue. Or is there any way for me to check on UNRAID that my ports are being blocked? Thanks.
  2. Thank you for everything you have done so far this this. Before you hang up your hat for good, would you be able to provide a guide on how to get that monolith docker image from lancache you were talking about working on unraid so we have a good replacement to use when you're gone? I tried setting it up myself once by creating a Linux VM but had no idea what I was doing. So any help you can provide would be much appreciated. Thank you. -Clutz450
  3. Does eating KFC for dinner count? lol. But anyway, the guest/1234 username/password trick seems to be working for me. It was also suggested to me to use the "Docker Safe New Perms" option under Tools as well as download the "Fix Common Problems" plugin from Community Apps. Already did the "Docker Safe New Perms", corrected the few things "Fix Common Problems" suggested, and am now doing their Extended Test which also seems to check and fix permissions of all files which seems like it is going to take a while before it finishes. But overall, I think my issue is solved and will mark it as such. Thank you. -Clutz450
  4. So update on my situation. I started thinking that it was some kind of credential issue so I started searching that in Google along with UNRAID and came across this post here. In it, it said that I need to have my username as guest with a password of 1234. I don't ever remember having to do that on any other computer but that actually did the trick on my laptop. I would still appreciate anybody else's input on my situation to see if there is anything else I should be looking at or doing to ensure everything is working as it should. Thank you. -Clutz450
  5. Hello everyone. The short story to my current issue is that I can no longer access the files on my UNRAID Server from my laptop anymore. I used to have my server mapped as a drive on my laptop and was able to access and do anything with the files that way but now I cannot. I can still access the UNRAID WebGUI, I can still access the files from my Windows VM, and my wife's laptop can still access them as well. The long story is I heard about UNRAID a little over a year ago and started messing around with it. Had no idea what I was doing but was able to get it up and running and everything was working great. Then I decided to set up and run a Windows VM and that was working great too. Then at some point I noticed that I was not able to delete files that were on my server from my laptop. It kept saying that I needed permission from "nobody". No idea what that was, but I was able to delete files from my Windows VM so that was the work around I was doing for months now and was ok with that. Then I was talking to someone online about my issue and they said it sounded like a permissions issue and had me try all kinds of things. But the things that I think were relevant to why it's not working for me now is I had tried to change the owner of the mapped drive located in the advanced Security ta in Properties. The other thing I think may have done it was that I was suggested to remove the Windows Credentials for UNRAID. I was told that it would fix itself then next time I tried to connect, but I haven't been able to connect again since. It kept asking me for a username and password but I don't ever remember needing one before. So I tried a couple things and now it doesn't even ask me anymore. If it helps, below is a picture showing that my Windows VM can connect but my personal laptop cannot. I hope this is enough information for you to go on and can help me gain access back. Thank you. -Clutz450
  6. No, I'm not having any issues. Just a concern. I ordered some new drives and going to install them when they get here. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't going to damage anything or mess anything up if all those drives did go over my power supply's wattage when spinning up. Thank you.
  7. Thank you for your reply. How would I know if my controller supports this. And if it does, how would I use it? I just started getting into using an old PC as an UNRAID server not that long ago so there is still a lot I don't know or understand. Thank you.
  8. Hello everyone. I am using UNRAID on an older computer and currently have 6 drives in it. I am thinking about adding another 2 and while I think my power supply should be able to handle it, I was wondering if there was a way to have when UNRAID starts up that it only spins up one drive at a time. I'm just worried about drawing all that power at once when all drives spin up at the same time. Thanks. PS. Here is a picture of my PSU in case you guys find that helpful.
  9. Thank you for the reply. The way I was doing it was I was manually setting the DNS to my lancache IP address on each device (PC, Switch, and Vita). It worked great on my PC for Steam games. It didn't seem to do anything for the Switch or Vita. How did you set it up through your router? Maybe I can try that next. I have an ASUS RT-AX58U if that helps any. Thank you.
  10. Not sure if the main developer still proving any help here but I figured I'd ask here anyways. I was able to get this working when downloading and redownloading games from Steam. I had noticed that under more settings it mentions Nintendo and Sony (screenshot below). Now it says that I would have to change to option to true in order to disable caching for those. So does that mean it is enabled by default? I tried testing on my PS Vita and Nintendo Switch setting those up exactly like I did my computer for Steam but it appears that nothing is being cached when downloading from my PS Vita or Nintendo Switch. Is there anything additional I have to do to get this to work for gaming consoles like those or does this really only work for PC type games? Thank you.
