  1. Danke … falls jemand dazu etwas weiss (optische Kabel) würde ich mich freuen … Beste Grüße 🖖🏻
  2. Hallo zusammen, die Frage hatte ich auch. D.h. ohne Switch dann mit Patch-Kabel (die gibt es ja auch) wo die Send u. Receive Leitungen gekreutzt werden? Welche Kabelspezifikation? Die OM3 LC-zu-LC-Multimode-Duplex-Glasfaser-Kabel? Danke ... Beste Grüße
  3. Hi Jorge, hi BRiT it's working now (without a switch), although I'm not quite sure what I did there 😂. I installed an Garuda Linux on a MacPro 5.1 (I want to get into virtual machines stuff) and coming from Mac I must say the Linix network thing is quite hard to aquire. Right now I have a nearly 200 MB/s throughput (read) with the 10Gbit Nic and would like to know how I can integrate a freshly installed SSD into the setup in order to max out r/w operations. Is there a simple way or some instructions somewhere in order to set this up? Thank you very much for helping me ... Best wishes ... retox
  4. Hi BriT, the computer ist already directly attached to the Server and I know that UNRAID can act as a bridge but as I said, I don't know how to configure this ... and ... please not another power consuming device
  5. Hi there ... I added a Sonnett 10 Gbit card to my server and it shows up as eth1 in network settings. Right now I connected my Mac Pro directly with SFP+ cable to the Unraid Server (no switch). Eth0 (1 Gbit onboard) it connected to the Modem/Router. My question is: How do I have to setup the network correctly and how do I configure the two cards in order to use both connections? I do not have any network experience and tried to find some solution on the internet, but I did not find anything about this special case. Maybe there is a way to seperate the 10 Gbit net from the 1 Gbit connection for file transfer ? How can I assure to have a working remote access to Unraid after changing the configuration? And what I also do not understand (I will add a screenshot) is why (under interface eth1 under description) is there a "shutdown (inactive)". Is there a simple way to leave the eth0 as it is and use eth1 simply as a fast way to access the UNRAID server from the Mac? Any help will be gladly appreciated. Have a nice weekend ... Best wishes ... retox
  6. Hi there, so here at last my syslog and a photo of the latest crash on the monitor . I'm really excited what kind of problem this is ...😉 syslog
  7. So all my diagnostic files reveal the same information? I tried to setup a syslog server, if you read my first post, but it didn't work ... i follow the infos ... could you guide me through in an easy way? I'm a linux newbee ...
  8. Hi Trurl, not yet. Is there not enough information provided thru/by the diagnostic files?
  9. Hi there, back again. Here are my latest diagnostic files. I thought I post 3 states (if this is included in the diagnostics script). I'll also add a photo of the monitor screen after the crash. What i noticed is: Copying files internally without copying at once from a client to the server does nothing. Copying externally and internally leads to a crash. I thing it has something to do with the network/memory, maybe an overflow? I think you'll better know what it could be looking at the protocols. 10. You are absolutely right … I forgot that I removed the HD yesterday … I’ll be back tomorrow with a new report. Thank you …
  11. Hi to all … here is the diagnostics zip collection … thank you in advance … retox datacore-diagnostics-20220215-2149.zip
  12. Hi Squid, as I said, the screen kept constantly scrolling ... here is the only photo where the screen was stuck. Do you have an advice how to log this?
  13. Hi guys, In order to backup my media fast I am lately using an internal HD (removable HD frame) mounted with the Unassigned Disks plugin formatted with different file systems (I tried HFS, NTFS and XFS). Each time I start copying files from the array I takes about 10-30 minutes when the CPU is stuck with the first core at 100% and the the other cores follow. The server gets unresponsive to pings and looking at the console (monitor attached to server) error messages run fast across the monitor and I only can switch off the server hard. I never encountered problems before, so I think it has to do with the attached drive. Is there a way to analyze the problem, because I cannot see anything in the sys log. I tried to setup a remote syslog-ng server and turned on the remote and local syslog folder, the server crashed but no log, neither on the remote nor on the server. Is there another way to upload a system report (I read the syslog section, but as I said it didn't work). Any help would be greatly appreciated ... greetings from Berlin (Germany) .... retox Unraid Startup Log 12.02.2022.txt
