10gb network card, unstable connection speed
Hi, i just installed a new 10gb network card in my unraid server and have a matching card in my pc but for some reason my actual network speed is bouncing around a lot. i'm using iperf3 to test and it will start of at about 4gb, then over the course of the test it will slow down to under 1gb. Previously i was using a 2.5gb nic in my server and i was able to get a stable 2.5gb using that, so i'm unsure what's gone wrong here tower-diagnostics-20220609-1121.zip

Hp 10gb nic not working
I think my nic might just be broken then. The cable and switch are both confirmed working

Hp 10gb nic not working
I just installed a new 10gb sfp plus network card. This one https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/294912033704 and it just isn't doing anything. I bonded the connections from the onboard ethernet and the 2 ports on the card but unless I connect the onboard ethernet I just get nothing. The network switch has a solid light on it and the card has no lights

Changing VM disk bus from sata to virtio
I heard that vertio was better for performance and i'm trying to change my VM from a sata bus to vertio but every time i try, it just ends up in windows startup recovery mode

How big is the performance difference between using /mnt/user and /mnt/cache?
Currently all of my dockers are setup to use /mnt/user/whatever, should i change those over to using /mnt/cache instead? And if so, how much of a difference does this make to performance?

Unassigned Devices - Managing Disk Drives and Remote Shares Outside of The Unraid Array
I thought that you got a format option if there wasn't a file system. i'm trying to mount the drive so i can use it to test if something is a disk speed issue or not with another application

so I just tried changing back steam cmd and deleting satisfactory and it went back to the old behaviour. I've now also deleted the steam cmd folder and now it's working again. So it was probably an issue with steam cmd

ok, i seem to have found a fix. I changed the steamcmd folder mapping to steamcmd2 so it wasn't sharing steam cmd with your other containers and that seems to have fixed the issue

ok, just tried what you suggested and got the same output as before. Also yes I do have pihole installed but it's never caused an issue with your containers for me before

I just installed the container from the community apps page (left all settings as default) and all i get is this same console output looped ---Checking if UID: 99 matches user--- usermod: no changes ---Checking if GID: 100 matches user--- usermod: no changes ---Setting umask to 0000--- ---Checking for optional scripts--- ---No optional script found, continuing--- ---Starting...--- ---Update SteamCMD--- ---Update Server--- ---Prepare Server--- ---Server ready--- ---Start Server--- /opt/scripts/start-server.sh: line 76: cd: /serverdata/serverfiles/Engine/Binaries/Linux: No such file or directory /opt/scripts/start-server.sh: line 77: ./UE4Server-Linux-Shipping: No such file or directory

Ok, so i can join my ark server through the in game server browser menu and it works fine but when using the steam server browser to connect i get the error. is there a known fix for this or am i just stuck with it this way? Edit: Fixed it. "netsh winsock reset" made it start working via the steam menu

Ok, so i've got my ark server responding on port 27016 but every time i try and connect i still get this error

this what i've just set the settings as but now steam can't even query the server info to find it. my unraid server is running on 192.168.1.208 and i'm querying 192.168.1.208:27016 on my pc but i'm not getting anything in the steam server browser Edit: So apparantly if I just query the IP 192.168.1.208 in the steam server browser then the server shows up but i still get the same error when joining the server about being unable to query for an invite

i've already tried that too. the container get's deleted every time i make a change by unraid anyway and port forwarding shouldn't matter because currently i'm just trying to get it to work on my local network

Hi, i'm trying to get the ark survival evolved server to work but all i can get is "unable to query server info for invite", the server shows up in steam but whenever i connect i just get the previous message. i'm using all default settings except the steam port is 27016 instead of 27015 and the RCON port is 27021. i did also try with the steam port as 27015 as a testing step but that didn't seem to fix it

ah ok. I'd already given up and opped myself that way anyway but thanks. i was more just looking for if there was a way to get into the console incase I needed it in the future. I guess i'll just have to use RCON. Thanks
