You can stick it right on the tabs via the Custom Tab plugin.
I tried few options..
How do I exactly define this tab, that will connect to the box via its IP using port 4200?

Great work!
Is it possible to replace the (non-working) built-in Terminal?
Too many clicks to invoke the shell..

Install the "Command Line Tool" through Community Applications and try it out instead.
Thanks, it indeed works and much better!
Not as fast as putty, but acceptably well.
Is it possible to assign it to the 'Terminal' button?

MC is not just sloppy, mouse does not work. Most of functional keys do not work

I understand where you are coming from, but your concerns are largely unfounded.
3. Limetech has been in this arena for MANY years, and has expanded operations greatly in the last 4 years. During that time they have always been more than fair to their customers, it feels more like a family than a tech company. As a newcomer, it's not possible to see this from the current state, you really just have to experience it over time. Every policy decision that could have been made differently have come down on the side of keeping the majority of customers happy, after discussion on the forum.
Maybe @limetech will comment, but that's how I see things after being around here for 10 years.
1) It is been almost a week since this post was written, and you see no reply from Lime
2) Where is Tom? Is he still around?
3) I am working with unRaid for maybe 10 years. My emails to lime (my first hardware was built and purchased from Lime) are answered sometimes after a week.
4) This forum is exceptional. There are few people in particular who's knowledge and willingness to help are extraordinary. I doubt if I could upgrade my server without the help here.

I read in the getting started guide that this isnt a good idea because of no TRIM support. What do people think of this, is this a big issue? Do others have all SSD as their array? Please forgive the newbie question
I had a chat recently with the guys who develop all-flash NAS, they told me that there must be specific algorithms developed for this kind of media. Optimize writes to minimize wear out.
Besides you need specialized hardware, and honestly I don't think unRaid was built for speed

That's what I have in my log for the last run of scheduled job -

If it keeps happening try selecting the previous speedtest version 1.0.7 in settings
but it does work manually (?!)

Did you try a manual test? Also try applying your settings again.
Yes, manually it worked fine and filled the history grid

For last 3 days or so (since the last update probably), history shows zero upload and zero download

With everything setup right, you don't need to do a thing on an unRaid server
What needs to be setup is merely the router - i.e. LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, etc
-
With a cache drive installed now, I transfer quite big uploads (> 30 GB) from my Dell XPS at over 90 Mbytes/sec constant.. without cache drive it was around 40-45 Mbyes/sec
XPS is quite fast machine, so there might be indeed a bottleneck at the source
-
I have bit more up-to-date hardware, and I pretty much hit the limit of my 1Gbps network
The bottleneck might be the hdd or sata
-
I can't use most of functions
For example, F3 is supposed to open viewer, but instead it selects all the files in directory.
Or don't know how to navigate top menus

It's pretty valid "hysteria" as far as I can tell...
Admittedly a home server running unRAID may not be the most obvious of targets, but I think the concern has been pretty justified.
Don't know how as it is pretty much back-end without user download activity.. and Linux
Anyway, installed OK, took few minutes.
-
Is it a recommended update, or just for these who had specific issues with 6.4.0?
Reading about Intel 'fixes' (e.g. from Linus) I would like to hold off anything related to this histeria
-
It works..
Restart was needed
Question - should it work on the files, which are on cache drive, not yet moved into raid?
-
Thanks @HocEman
I don't have anything resembling RecycleBin in the root of each share
I think I did not restart the server.. should I?
-
..and how can I know that this is not a SW issue? In the case of 6.4.0 Upgrade, it is clearly said that S3 Sleep is causing the issue... and I had lockups.. indeed looks like it caused something.. or the unraid driver in 6.4.0 is less resilient to this kind of 'noise'

For now it didn't cause any issues, but it might if it happens again, already said what you can do to try to find what caused them.
Thanks, how could I know if it did?
-
How? I ran parity maybe 5-6 times with zero errors..
Couldn't it be a driver issue?
Anyway, how serious is this?
I mean so there were these errors.. I indeed looked into SMART and the disk was healthy. I already kicked off a new parity check 4 hours ago
Could it cause anything?
-
It is something SW.. the coincidence of 3:00am is weird..That's when Mover job is run, when CA appdata Backup ran (you see it in the logs)
-
diagnostics
I see it happened at 3:00, when CA Backup/Restore ran
-
BTW, why Temp is not shown for Parity drive (I see '*'), while when entering SMART I see 28 degrees Celsius ?
