  1. Hello, I'm currently building my new unraid server to take advantage of the built in graphics for transcoding. I use vms for pfsense, adguard, home assistant and blue iris. Motherboard: nzxt N5 Z690 Cpu: I9 12900 Ram: 128gb ddr4 PCI: 2x 560SFP+ Dual Port 10GB 1 for pfsense the other for unraid to a 10gb sfp+ switch 2x 1tb nvme Everything is working perfectly untill I need to add more storage I would like to add the DELL PERC H200 Lsi to the x16 slot But pc won't boot when it's in the gpu x16 slot the gpu error led stays on and no bios or boot If I take all the pci cards out still the same error led. If I put the lsi in the slot below and remove one sfp+ cards all boots up perfectly. If I put one of the sfp+ cards in the gpu pci slot the dram error led stays lit and won't boot either. If I put a gpu in that slot all boots up fine. I have no idea why this is happening or how to fix it. Any help would be appreciated Regards
  2. Hello, My cache pool is reading as nearly full, when I go into Krusader and look at the size of the cache pool it says cache pool only using 7gb. even when i open the directory the size is still small thank you in advanced for helping me, I'm a novice to unraid, Regards Sulprax
  3. @Squid tried replacing the hard drive it wont let me start the array unless i have the same hard drive on it
  4. @Squid Thanks fr your reply. ok ill replace that hard drive as soon as i can its currently doing a parity check, if there is corrupted files at the end of this rebuild would it be best if i start from scratch delete all my data and everything. also will this solve the appdata folder not showing up on the share tab. Regards Sulprax.
  5. Hello, First of all I am no expert, but i can tell you i built my server with an old motherboard, cpu and ddr3 memory. I set up my dockers and vms then when i had some spare change i swapped all the hardware and used the same usb, hard drives and ssds. when i booted it all up it was all there and working well. so as long as its the same usb all should be ok. I hope this helps you with your question.
  6. I turned off the server to install 3 hard drives, and 2 extra solid state drives in the attempt to backup my plex appdata so I can then replace my old 30gb solid state to a newer one, and the other solid state drive to back up the cache drive so if an ssd fails I can just replace one of them with another. When I turned it back on all looked fine the parity check started up and is running, dockers and vms are all there. except I can not find appdata and when I use sonarr and radarr it cant move the files to the correct folder. I checked Organizr and I get the error Organizr DB is not writable!!! Please fix... I am a novice to unraid and no where as intelligent as you lot are so I have no idea where to begin. I hope you can help me. diagonalley-diagnostics-20210828-1629.zip syslog-192.168.0.2.log
  7. Brand new never been used still in the box 4u rack mount server. 12 hard drive bays easy access from the from the front. Brought two as my friend said he wanted to build one he changed his mind. https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.overclockers.co.uk/ocuk-professional-x-case-xk465f2-4u-rackmount-chassis-sa-02s-op.html%3ftemplate=amp?espv=1 Here is pictures of my unraid server setup with the exact same case. Looking for £90.00 ono Collection only from Telford
  8. @JorgeB Thank you i'm just doing parity sync and data rebuild now will keep you updated. sorry if i seem like a noob still new to all this. just my luck my case has gone missing in the post too. Regards Sulprax
  9. @JorgeB Phase 1 - find and verify superblock... Phase 2 - using internal log - zero log... - scan filesystem freespace and inode maps... - found root inode chunk Phase 3 - for each AG... - scan and clear agi unlinked lists... - process known inodes and perform inode discovery... - agno = 0 - agno = 1 - agno = 2 - agno = 3 - process newly discovered inodes... Phase 4 - check for duplicate blocks... - setting up duplicate extent list... - check for inodes claiming duplicate blocks... - agno = 0 - agno = 1 - agno = 2 - agno = 3 Phase 5 - rebuild AG headers and trees... - reset superblock... Phase 6 - check inode connectivity... - resetting contents of realtime bitmap and summary inodes - traversing filesystem ... - traversal finished ... - moving disconnected inodes to lost+found ... Phase 7 - verify and correct link counts... done
  10. @JorgeB i couldn't access the web gui for ages it wasn't booting correctly just got it to boot everything seemed ok and now my share directories have just disappeared again. attached the diagnostics for you. thank you for your help. diagonalley-diagnostics-20210604-1401.zip
  11. @jorgeB Today someone donated me a spare motherboard that works with my cpu and memory its a ASRock B85M Pro3 so i quickly ripped out the old motherboard and threw this one in as my last setup kept crashing constantly, never been able to finish a data rebuild or anything. I thought yes this is working then after 3 hours, plex stopped working so i went to look at the dockers and there was no dockers just an error stating "dockers couldn't be started" so i rebooted the system parity sync and data rebuild starts with the array, but now i have these errors under fix common problems: Unable to write to disk1 Unable to write to Docker Image go to my shares tab and there is no shares to display only disk 1 and 2 and I cant start a docker i have now turned on syslog server and report back with what its recorded in the morning. regards Sulprax
  12. oh, unfortunately I don't have any other hardware on hand yet, this is my testing setup before i purchases the final parts for my unraid build, still deciding between amd and intel. Weird that it doesn't like my hardware, wonder if there is any apps i could install to further diagnose my problem. thank you for your help i highly appreciate it regards Sulprax
  13. @JorgeB ok last night i had a red x on one of my drives so i got the server to rebuild data all was going good i went to sleep checked at 5am still working good and still rebuilding the disk it was on 70% at 10 o'clock i couldn't access plex or login to my server so rebooted it. I couldn't upload the syslog error code -200 so i deleted a lot of the disk errors from the log to allow me to upload the file. I have attached the logs for you to have a look at. Thank you in advance, I highly appreciate all that help me. diagonalley-diagnostics-20210523-0525.zip diagonalley-diagnostics-20210527-0111.zip unbalance.log syslog

  16. Hello all you lovely smart people, I'm new to unraid and currently running the trial version of unraid. I have over 900 dvds and was looking at using unraid to save space After 14 hours of it being in use all of a sudden I can't access the Web gui or any media on the server, this is the 4th time it has happened and I usually just hard power it off and back on. It happens randomly. Current trial system specs: . Intel Core i5-4570 3.2 GHz Quad-Core Processor . MSI Z87 MPOWER ATX LGA1150 Motherboard . 20gb ddr3 memory . 1 x 80gb ssd . 2 x 3tb wd red . 1 x 1tb Toshiba Dockers running: . Sabnzb . Radarr . Sonarr . Plex No vms yet will do when I have all the hardwear I want to finally use. There is no overclocking applied, there is no screen attached. All of the cores of the cpu run at 100% but I think that's because of the unpacking on sabnzb. Regards in advance
  17. @jonathanm ok thank you for all your help i highly appreciate it
  18. @jonathanm yea i will be buying the licenses key as soon as i get everything ready to test, ill always keep the pfsense server as a backup just in case, its a shame there isnt a cpu with enough cores to support my vms otherwise i wouldnt look at getting the x99 motherboard
  19. @jonathanm Thank you the motherboard has never been overclocked, i brought it years ago because i liked the look of it haha, and still don't want to part with it yet, the case can support 10 hard drives and 2 ssd so when i run out of the 8 onboard satas i should look at getting a disk controller
  20. Hello i am new to unraid and was highly convinced to join unraid due to watching space invaders one tutorials on YouTube. this will be temporary until i get an x99 motherboard and Xeon processor, as i want dedicated vm's for my pfsense and home assistant. current pc is; Motherboard: MSI Z87 MPOWER socket 1150 CPU: Intel Core i5-4570 3.2 GHz Quad-Core Processor Memory: 20GB DDR3 PSU: be quiet System power 8 400w 80+ case: Fractal Design R6 Before i add hard drives do i need a sas card to future proof the system, also someone on youtube said to use a sas card for better stability, is this true? i am hoping you lovely people on this forum can give me any tips and advice. regards Sulprax
