  1. Oh, I see. That would make sense that would be Windows only. I've been messing with tuning the last few days and I got it to be pretty decent. Using Robocopy, I'm getting almost 6 GB/s reads and 5 GB/s writes. Using the normal Windows file transfer, getting 4 GB/s read and 3 GB/s writes. Not to bad. Probably still some room for improvement, but it's acceptable. Fast networking is fun but its Definitely a pain to get it working.
  2. Wow, that’s impressive! My setup uses two MCX556A-EDAT 100g cards directly connected to each other no switch. On the Unraid side, I’ve got a 4-drive Z1 array with Gen 4 NVMe drives. I can get about 2-3GB/s over SMB currently. Have you experimented with SMB Direct at all? is it any Improvement over SMB? Last night I tried building my own kernel to add RDMA support, but ran into a “Verifying checksum” error on boot. You should do a short guide on adding the drivers to the Unraid kernel. It would be much appreciated. You seem like you really know your stuff. Also, thanks for your post. I was going to get the Intel E810, but decided against it.
  3. How's the performance with the RDMA enabled? I have two ConnectX-5 I'm wanting to get more performance out of.
  4. there is already a script that does what you are asking called Plexcache.
  5. Hi I have been having a crashing/freezing issue for months and I have been trying to figure it out. Wanted to see if anyone out there could give me a little advice on what the best next step is. rundown of server x299 i9-7940X ROG RAMPAGE VI EXTREME latest bios bios is currently in stock settings. "bad" not on the QVL Memory x2 sets (8 sticks total) CORSAIR Vengeance LPX 64GB (4 x 16GB) CMK64GX4M4A2133C13 "good" on the QVL Memory G.SKILL TridentZ RGB Series 32GB (4 x 8GB) Model F4-3600C16Q-32GTZR My plan was to use my corsair memory for my unraid server. I got this memory in 2018 and have been using it in other boxes with no problem. But with unraid and my x299 motherboard unraid crashes/lockups after 3-7 days. I ran a memtest86 with all 8 sticks in the server and it passed all 4 passes. I tried 1 stick 2, 4 nothing all the same outcome. I have also ran memtest86 with the corsair memory on a different computer a total of 16 passes. No issues. But using the G.SKILL Memory I don't have any issues. Should I just try and sell my corsair memory and get some that is on the QVL of the MB? Or is there any settings I can try in the bios to try and get it to work? Thanks any advice is greatly aprieaceted!
