I got it working with help. I asked in binhex's vpn app thread. He said to try adding a bunch of other ports to the VPN_INPUT_PORTS and it MIGHT work VPN_INPUT_PORTS: -p 1900:1900/udp \ -p 3005:3005 \ -p 5353:5353/udp \ -p 8324:8324 \ -p 32410:32410/udp \ -p 32412:32412/udp \ -p 32413:32413/udp \ -p 32414:32414/udp \ -p 32469:32469 I think I just entered them as 1900,3005,5353, etc. I also added port forwarding for 32400 in my router. The iptable command line you entered has to be done from the plex container in docker. Click on your plex container in docker and select console, then add it. I was adding it to the unraid terminal, but didnt work until I tried it in the plex docker console. I connect to the vpn the same way you do, with the -net=container method. Hopefully this helps.

Im on Unraid 6.9.2. Has anyone had luck with Port Forwarding with Mullvad? Im trying to get Plex remote access to work behind the VPN but am having issues. I have enabled a port forward in mullvad and have manually input that port into plex. But I cant get the remote access to work. I have port 32400 forwarded in my router and I just added the Mullvad port to see if I can get anything to connect to it. I cant even get their checker to connect with that port with CHECK . Im connected to Mullvad, but It says the port is unreachable. I followed their guide HERE and used the Linux command line with and without the sudo since I had a root command line. Is it something to do with ip tables? how can I check mine? Or is it something to do with my Router? I use google wifi and can only add port rules with the found IPs. It has my Unraid server as 192.xxx but when I use the VPN docker the IP is 172.xxx. But the 172.xxx doesnt show up in the router.

Thank you for the reply. My apple TV can now direct play on my home network, but remote users are still limited to 2k bps and transcode. I changed almost everything you suggested. The only thing I couldn't do was open port 5353. I get an error saying its already being used. Looks like its being used by 0.0.0.0:5353 avahi-daemon. I tried disabling that service, but it made it so I couldn't browse files using my Ubuntu PC anymore. It didn't even show up on the network. And all my docker containers failed when I tried to reinstall them. Ill look into if I can change that port in avahi-daemon.

Forgive me if this has already been asked. but how can I use plex behind the VPN. I'm using the binhex plexpass docker. I have it mostly working going thru the VPN with --net=container:vpn in extra paramaters, but I cant use remote access with plex. I'm using Mullvad VPN and I have assigned a forwarded port (56000) with wireguard. In Privoxyvpn I have opened ports 32400 and 56000. I have added both ports to VPN_OUTPUT_PORTS and VPN_INPUT_PORTS. Also have forwarded both ports in my router. In plex I have 56000 as the Manually specify public port. I can direct play content on my phone and PC on the same network, but my apple TV wont direct play. Its limited to 2kbps bandwidth and transcodes. I'm guessing its connecting using the plex relay? If I turn it off, my Apple TV won’t connect. I’m guessing my pc and phone work because they are also on the vpn but the Apple TV isn’t? My remote users are now also limited to 2kbps bandwidth and cant direct play most content. I had remote access working and everyone/everything was able to direct play before I tried to put it behind the VPN.

I keep crashing after about a day. I installed a lsi 9207-8i in IT mode and a Quadro p400, but I currently uninstalled the raid card and turned on save syslog to eliminate one thing at a time. I thought maybe having the raid card in my PCIe 4x 2.0 was causing an issue (PCIe 16x 3.0 is filled with the Quadro p400), but still crashed after removal. Then I deleted the GPU community app hoping that was my issue, but it still crashed. At around 10am this morning I reinstalled the app. I don't have the syslog from before the last crash. I turned it on after. This has happened once or twice before I installed any of the hardware upgrades, but was running for weeks at a time. I thought it had been fixed. The last two crashes happened around 4am (yesterday) and around 8am (this morning). I'm currently running a check on the disks, but haven't found any errors. I can transcode with the Quadro p400 in Plex. I had 6 simultaneous transcodes going at once to test it the other day. When it crashes I can't connect to the pc through the web browser and I just have a blank screen if I switch to the connected monitor. Sorry if I have posted this incorrectly.
