  1. I noticed that @SpaceInvaderOne recommends to remove all fruity entries in the SMB config in a recent YouTube video about UnRAID & TM.

    I recently added a new disk to my array, and tried to move my TM backups to this. It worked for two of my Macs, but for one it failed. I then tried the recommendation to remove the fruity entries, but still no joy. I had to rebuild the backup from scratch. This worked however subsequent incremental backups got the error "Failed to attach using DiskImages2"...

    Then I reconfigured the SMB with the following:

    Quote

    [Global]
       vfs objects = catia fruit streams_xattr
       fruit:nfs_aces = no
       fruit:zero_file_id = yes
       fruit:metadata = stream
       fruit:encoding = native
       spotlight backend = tracker
       veto files = /.DS_Store/
       delete veto files = yes
    #vfs_recycle_start
    #recycle bin configuration
       syslog only = No
       syslog = 0
       logging = 0
       log level = 0 vfs:0
    #vfs_recycle_end

    (Some of the lines were there before as well.) I don't know which line fixed it but incremental backups are running fine now. Hopefully this helps someone, and perhaps @SpaceInvaderOne could do a follow-up video.

  2. Oh... But my reaction was to the MAIN tab in the GUI, next to the MOVE button where I normally see a link to open the schedule, it is now saying "Disabled -- Parity operation is running". As the schedule link is not visible here, I jumped to the wrong conclusion that it too would be disabled when the Parity operation is running. Perhaps the MAIN screen could be made less misleading in this respect, e.g. to still show the link to the schedule?
