New install NO GUI just command line
I still couldn't open the GUI using server_name.local on my desk browser, despite reboot and cache purge. The 404 nginx error was not a browser cache error after all. Somehow, it appears that during the migration to the new boot USB stick, SSL/TLS was disabled under Settings > Management Access > (first tab) > Use SSL/TLS. Just reporting it here in case someone else is facing the same problem. This post told me where to look: https://forums.unraid.net/topic/133846-unable-to-view-management-console/#findComment-1216389

New install NO GUI just command line
Thanks for confirming. I just don’t recall that being the case with my old flash drive. Maybe my recollection is wrong or maybe there was an issue I wasn’t fully aware of. Anyway, now I know all is well.

New install NO GUI just command line
That was probably a browser cache problem. From yet another computer I can access the GUI by using the server name. Everything seems to be working fine. Is it normal (from v7.3 or some recent update) that the default boot-up stops with a login prompt on the server's console?

New install NO GUI just command line
Now it's my turn to face this login prompt. The append code suggested by @Printingdude didn't make any difference to me. My server has local KVM that was rarely used, however I am certain that the boot-up didn't stop at a login prompt before I made some changes... My boot device had begun to show errors, and running first-aid on my Mac found problems but failed to repair them, so I replaced the thumb drive. I used a backup from my previous setup to initialise the new thumb drive. It booted up and upon replacing the UNRAID registration key, I then decided to update the OS to v7.3. Now when I start the server, I get to the login prompt on the local console. If I try to access the GUI from the browser on another computer by server_name.local, I get a 404 screen. However, I can reach it by its IP address. File access seems to work fine. What's wrong? untroll-diagnostics-20260513-1723.zip untroll-diagnostics-20260513-1723.zip

[Plugin] unbalanced
I tried to use unbalanced to make a copy of a directory from one unraid user share to another. The directory is the backup target of a server of a music library having 720GB of FLAC files (over 37000 directories and files). This server is about to get replaced and I want a copy of the backup, in addition to eventually move the target of the backup once I have the new server restored and running. My use case appears to be a missed opportunity for unbalanced. It seems to almost be able to do what I want, but it doesn't quite get there. At least not what I can suss out. Now I'm watching the copy happen in mc, and it pales in comparison to the unbalanced experience! Apologies if the suggestion to copy/move a directory structure from one share to another has already been covered in these 90 pages of posts..

[PLUGIN] ZFS Master
If I understand this correctly, you would like to convert a folder on your cache drive to a dataset, but all of the drives that have the shares which are being cached on your cache drive are formatted using XFS. Do you really want to convert a cached folder to a dataset?

GUI login via URL on iPad doesn't use stored password [unRAID 6.12.13 and earlier]
I've had this small irritation for quite a while now, I'm not sure exactly when it began.. It's from well over a year ago, maybe two. When I login to the web GUI of my unRAID server using Safari on my iPhone or any of my three Mac computers, the browser lets me use the stored login credentials (synchronised over the Apple iCloud service). But this feature doesn't work on my iPad. It shows no hint that I have stored login credentials for this server, but it also doesn't ask if I want to save my login credentials after I have manually enter "root" plus my password. If I use the raw IP address to reach my unRAID server, then it works as it should. This is very strange and I wonder if anyone else has experienced it. I called Apple Support, and we have tried various tricks including deleting the login credentials from the keychain (password manager) and creating them again, purging the browser cache, upgrade to iPadOS 18.0, full factory reset and restore of a backup, and a full factory reset without restore. Nothing has helped so far, except for the workaround of using the IP address. I recognise that asking here is a long shot, but I and the Apple Support engineers are stumped.

[PLUGIN] ZFS Master
In the heading band, I see the following: Last refresh at 8/30/2024, 20:32:22 This date format can be confusing to many of us. Would it be possible for the ZFS Master plugin to use the Unraid Display settings for the date & time format, please?

[Plugin] Parity Check Tuning
Yeah, that could be it.. I'm running 6.12.0-rc2. The files you asked for are attached (the server hasn't been rebooted yet after the last parity check). parity.check.tuning.progress.save parity-checks.log untroll-diagnostics-20230418-1115.zip

[Plugin] Parity Check Tuning
Using version 2023.04.08 for the first time, the Action in my History page has only a hyphen ("-") for the most recent run which was completed at noon today. It was running in 4 increments according to the same page. Normally, I would expect the Action to show "Scheduled Non-Correcting Parity-Check" like it did in March.

[Plugin] unbalanced
Tiny cosmetic request: the next time you update this plugin, can you please remove the "v" prefix in the version designation? Most of my other plugins use the same YYYY.MM.DD format but without any "v" prefix. Occasionally I like to sort the list of plugins in the WebUI based on version, to quickly identify the oldest/newest. Cheers, T

Dynamix - V6 Plugins
On my side, the status says “Running” in green. On your suggestion, because the Sleep plugin is no longer working also in my system, I changed the first setting to Disabled. This changed the status to “Stopped” in orange, and like you I seem to recall this is what it said in the past (before the most recent update) as well. I changed the setting back to Sleep, but going to sleep it does not. 🤷♂️ I’m sure I haven’t touched any configuration since it was working, except for installing a few updates including the latest Sleep plugin.

I encountered the same problem in September. It isn’t possible to back out 6.11 if you’re using an SSD.

New corr/noncorr indicator in Parity Operation History report
The new version of the plugin is showing the correction/noncorrection mode and the support link is working!

New corr/noncorr indicator in Parity Operation History report
I ran a new test for 26 minutes, cancelled, then waited 20 minutes. The history is still not showing whether I had enabled corrections or not, it now just says "Manual Parity-Check". Secondly, installing a plugin that does a whole lot more than I want is increasing the complexity of my setup and therefore also the risk for undesirable side effects later. I only want the history display to be a little more informative. I don't have any need for incremental parity-checks etc. Thirdly, the plugin provides a link to a support thread that is invalid: https://unraid.net/forums/topic/78394-parity-check-tuning Cheers, T

New corr/noncorr indicator in Parity Operation History report
I expected something like that. After installing the plugin, I tried running manual parity checks, once with and the other without the corrective checkbox ticked. As this takes nearly two days on my system, I then cancelled the processing. Both tests say only "Parity-Check" in the Action column, just like before I had this plugin in my system. It will however be helpful to see future scheduled runs with a different Action, and then any manual run could be implicitly assumed to be corrective. Not perfect but it goes half the mile.

New corr/noncorr indicator in Parity Operation History report
Thanks for the suggestion! I've installed this plugin and I see two additional columns in the history: Elapsed Time and Increments. Where can I see the indicator for corrective or non-corrective parity-check?
-
New corr/noncorr indicator in Parity Operation History report
Please? In addition to Action, Date, Size, Duration, Speed, Status and Errors, I think it could be nice to see whether a parity-check was run as corrective or non-corrective. Cheers, T

FIXED! M.2 SSD doesn't mount after wake-on-LAN
Issue solved! This is not a request for support, only intended to help someone who is perhaps facing the same issue I was. My server has an internal slot for an M.2 PCIe nvme SSD that I use as a cache for the appdata, domains and system shares. The server is on standby during nights using the Sleep plugin. After a wake-on-LAN ping from my iPad in the morning, the cache drive failed to mount. I saw log entries saying I/O error on dev/loop2, and mc displayed the device name in red with a question mark under /mnt. A reboot always solved it, until the next WOL. Other posts here made me double-check that my docker apps were correctly configured with all folders in place, then I suspected a hardware issue. My SSD is less than a year old, but it appears that some controller chips don't support sleep/wake modes. I replaced the SSD with a different make & model, and now the issue is fixed! The SSD that didn't work is a GAMMIX S50 Lite 512G-CS. The replacement is an Innovation IT SSD M.2 256GB. Cheers, T

I've applied your patch but I don't see any new configuration setting for the S3 Sleep plugin. Did I do something wrong, or it's normal?

Well, yes... I moved ahead to 6.11.0 stable (and .1 just now).

[6.10.3] Mover scheduler not suspended during parity checking operation
As the Move button is disabled during a parity operation, it would be consistent for any scheduled moves to be suspended/disabled too.

Dynamix - V6 Plugins
I've backed out from 6.11.0.rc5 to 6.10.3. Now Fix Common Problems is complaining that Dynamix SSD Trim is missing (it is removed during the 6.11.0.rcx upgrade). I try to reinstall SSD Trim, but it fails: plugin: installing: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/bergware/dynamix/master/unRAIDv6/dynamix.ssd.trim.plg plugin: downloading https://raw.githubusercontent.com/bergware/dynamix/master/unRAIDv6/dynamix.ssd.trim.plg plugin: downloading: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/bergware/dynamix/master/unRAIDv6/dynamix.ssd.trim.plg ... done plugin: downloading: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/bergware/dynamix/master/archive/dynamix.ssd.trim.txz ... failed (Generic error) plugin: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/bergware/dynamix/master/archive/dynamix.ssd.trim.txz download failure (Generic error)

hibernate external drives
It's been sorted out as of 6.11.0-rc3, or so I thought… Hopefully it will be fixed in the 6.11 release.
