I don't - I had the same issue again today when I had to restart the container. Manually had to go in and remove that file, I've only got one instance of Plex running Edit - I flicked the "Privileged" flag back on in the docker setup and that's fixed it. Presumably the container wasn't allowed to remove that file when it shut down.

Hi all, I'm having the same issue as the user above - My logs are stating that "Plex Media Server is already running. Will not start..." after the latest update Log attached, I'm not sure what to do as there's definitely not another instance of PMS running Edit: I removed the "plexmediaserver.pid" file that was in the appdata folder and that solved it plexlog.txt

Honestly, this is the best possible outcome for Unraid users and Unraid as a business in my book. Existing customers will keep the licenses in perpetuity, Unraid will get continual income from lew licenses if and when new users re-up. The customers with perpetual licenses will be the ones who are the most vocal and evangelise about Unraid - I've had 2 friends get licenses since I set my server up, all because they liked how easy it was to manage. But it's understood that the company needs to make money, so a new model was needed. Honestly, given the alternative scenarios, this was the best option for all parties, so thank you for not alienating the base that will help you grow.

Looks like this is causing a bit of concern in some areas of the community. There's some wording that suggests an annual/subscription license system is coming in... Could we get some sort of official clarification on this? One of the more appealing elements of Unraid was the lifetime license option.
