Dynamix Factory Reset plugin looks to be not be working. can anyone confirm?

Hey all, ive seen a fork of this awesome plugin to add extra support for HBA's and GPUs etc. any thoughts on how to get it installed or if these features will come to the original release? many thanks https://github.com/protheus313/fanctrlplus

so i thought replacing the cache drive had fixed it, has been fine for a few days. but then ive re-enabled mover and run it and lost more shares. they come back after a reboot. i also seem to have the tv shows 4k come back randomly. ive deleted it a number of times (its an empty share) but always seems to reappear. i have removed any docker container links that may have been creating it or using it in the past. im now thinking it may be due to power draw on the sata power cable causing a drive to disconnect even though id assume the drive that would disconnect would be random. ive run another sata power cable from the PSU dedicated to the parity +cache drive. storageserver-diagnostics-20260127-1752.zip

if i swap a drive in the array with the cache drive and the array drive drops out. wont i have to rebuild the array? or do you mean swap out the cache drive with a spare hdd not in the array? cheers

okay so after a bit more trialing. after array starts all looks normal until the cache drive gets a few writes going (after dock containers start up) then the drive also shows up under unassigned devices, the shares disappear. cant navigate to the contents of the cache drive via unraid GUI or windows network share. in terms of my hard drives phyical config all hdds are connected via Dell TD2NM H330 HBA (sold via theartofserver) with 2x StarTech.com 1m Internal Mini SAS to SATA Cable (lifetime warranty) no other drives are having any issues that i can see, i also changed the sata connector the cache drive was using just incase. cables have also been checked. 2 diags uploaded. one right after server boot and one after array started and the issue occurs. screenshot after issue occurs. I did notice the drive was listed under both the cache pool and under unassigned devices, sorry can't believe I forgot to mention it. Would it be best to remove the drive from cache pool fully delete the cache pool and then recreate it and readd the drive? Cheers

scratch that, still happening even with mover disabled. oddly enough i deleted the 'tv shows 4k' share (it was empty anyway) usually that was the only share left being shown but now with the issue occurring it showed 3 shares but not the rest. this share issue is happening pretty soon after starting the array after server reboot. mover disabled. fresh logs attached from right after. storageserver-diagnostics-20260123-1237.zip

have run this and confirmed only shares are now listed with the rest being removed. have then also confirmed it breaks the shares when invoking mover. (happens within 30 seconds or so)

i have a feeling that the shares are breaking when mover runs which explains its frequency. but im unsure on the change to make to fix it without just disabling mover

Hi All I've recently been having this issue daily where all except one share is missing when i first look at my server each day. have never had this issue before and now i believe today is 3 days in a row running the latest stable version of unraid. a reboot resolves this issue but doesn't prevent it happening again. is anyone else having this issue? image 1 is during the issue, image 2 is after a reboot. Hi All I'm hoping to get some reassurance before making any moves. I'm currently in a situation most likely caused by a fake HBA Card which requires me to rebuild a drive all drives are now connected via motherboard sata ports. when trying to rebuild drive 3 the whole system hangs , cant connect via GUI and cant ping system. Looking at diagnostics it seems the 'cache drive' is causing this, it is an old drive so could be the reason (drive is just for downloads) I'm trying to remove this drive so that i can then rebuild the array and avoid the hanging. but simply unassigning it and then trying to start the array shows the following error message: Wrong Pool State cache - too many wrong or missing devices Chat GPT thinks i should unassign the disk and then do a new config and retain all drives but the warning around that say that i wont be able to rebuild a drive after doing that, so I'm naturally anxious. Any advice would be appreciated Thanks Zass

i had the same exact issue. i held the power down on my the server(bad i know) then turned back on and it detected the connection again.

Hi All I'm currently running 4 Vm's but will really need to end up with 5: 1x windows server 2019 -Domain controller VM 3x windows 10 (soon to be x4) -Gaming Vm's Specs of the whole system: thread ripper 2970WX -24core (4 cores /8threads per gaming VM) (2 core/4thread for domain controller) 64gb ram 3x RX 6600 (soon to be x4) 2x 1tb WD Green 1TB 2.5 inch 2x 500gb 2.5 inch (1 Samsung 1 crucial) the ssds are currently: parity 1 : 1tb disk 1: 1 tb disk 2:500gb disk3: 500gb My original goal was to be able to have 4x win10 Vm's running at the same time each with a GPU passed through. Only needing 1 copy of each game that each Vm can access so that i dont need to have 4 copies of each game, 1 stored on each VM. I guess i really have 3 questions: #1) when running multiple VM's each VM becomes rather slow, is this because i really need to be using m.2's ? #2) or is this because the storage should be setup a different way? possibly a dedicated physical drive per VM? #3) is there anything im missing that could be either causing these issues or that might in the future. Thanks in advance, please let me know if you need anymore info and / or screenshots to aid in my explanation.
