  1. Hi all, I am having problems with Plex Pass docker. It started with adhoc freezing and a need to restart the container - similar to an earlier posted issue. I recently upgraded to 1.40 and this now appears resolved however… I am now finding the webpage loading is very very slow. It can take 40 sec + to load and frequently stops responding when moving between menu items. It recovers after a short rest - playing cath up. Latest version of unraid, Server is an 18 core xeon, 80 Gb ram, viewing computer is I9 -using Chrome, plex database etc is on ssd. All on the same network. There are no noticeable issues on the android devices I am using (perhaps less menu activities) but the Web UI is all but unuseable. Any ideas on what may be causing this.
  2. I have the same problem. Ugraded to 12.4 and system crashes after about 12 hrs repeately. Only solution is hard restart Previous versions were stable and ran 24/7 constantly. attached is diagnostic file and syslog including latest crash. system stopped 08:12 restarted 13:57 Am rolling back to see if it stabilises Any assitance gratedfully rceived. Thankyou. sentinel-diagnostics-20230906-1406.zip syslog-192.168.1.110 (4).log
  3. Plex working fine this morning - Just updated to the latest version and now dont have a media server. Plex opens - the library list is there but no content (apart from Plex online stuff) "Something went wrong An unexpected error occurred" Had the same error when updating my Synology last week to 1.28 which never got resolved - now both it and my unraid plex dont work. Any ideas?? Server logs attached. Plex Media Server Logs_2022-08-03_19-38-11.zip
  4. Apologies openning a new topic on this syncthing thing was greyed out so i will just continue the conversation with a question. I have been using syncthing for synchronising folders between two home servers. Upon setting up and linking the servers I used a direct connection network which is 10gb - 192.168.3.x This worked quite well initially. Not that I looked that often but now I have noticed that the sync has reverted (of itself) to the all-embracing standard home network of 192.168.1.x which is only 1gb. Is there a way to force the connection thru the 10gb network (for obvious reasons). There is about 80Tb of data under sync scanning. Checking on other syncthing communities there appears to be some hint of nominating a listenning address to bind to but I cant see any parameters in the binhex xml file to enable this. Any ideas?
  5. If you can find it try a slightly older X11SPF-nCTF. 18 SATA @ 6gbps off the board, 1 x Nvmne and 10G ethernet native uses the older LGA 3647 socket.
  6. I am using a SuperMicro X11SPF-nCTF mother board Next gen to yours and not as up to date as the current generation (who can afford that anyway) but it can more than hold its own Also a little out of the ordinary board. For Discs it has: 2 native SATA (DOM) 2 x 8087 SATA sockets – will give 8 x SATA discs 2 x 8643 SAS sockets - will give 8 x SATA Discs So that is a Total 18 discs SATA 6gbps from the board without an expansion card. 1 x Nvme 2x NVME Oculink conectors– not sure how to use them. Think they have died out. As a bonus it also has 10G Ethernet native. It runs an LGA 3647 socket – quite large I am using a 2nd hand 1st gen Xeon Gold 6150 processor (18 cores) at 140 watts ( but never get anywhere near that). You can get less power-hungry processors obviously. I run 8x Exos 18Tb drives plus a bunch of others It all fits nicely in a define 7 box with some room to expand.
  7. Thank you all for the effort of responding. I have a much clearer understanding now.
  8. Perhaps you are misunderstanding my question. If a share is called or is in use such as a broadly encompassing 'Media' (or whatever) will all the discs (say 10) with a Media share on it spin up and run while that share is in use. Thats all.
  9. I am relatively new to unraid. I am familiar with the TRaSH Guides recommended structure for a media server. Within that structure I understand a degree of disk management and granularity can be achieved by manually placing the subfolders on the discs of preference. This was a concern of mine and still work in progress. However, as we have one share being ‘data’ across all media discs does this mean that all discs under this Share are spun up when the Share is being used or have I got my understanding of this wrong. This is not what I want. If subfolder (not share) tv is being used I don’t need or want the movies disc spinning. Clarity anyone?
