PCI Usb Card
So I have a r730xd and I needed to add a couple USB ports so I grabbed PCIe To USB Card. I've got 2 USB to serial adapters attached to it and I just need to ask the stupid question. How do I find what tag they are associated with as they go to my two MD1200s for fan control. I had this working on my previous setup so I know the cables are good. I'm just wondering if theres a driver or something I need to install or how do I find the tags. On the last one it was set to /dev/ttyUSB1. Appreciate it guys and I hope you can help me.

Unraid OS version 6.12.4 available
About to update from 6.12.3 using the ipvlan work around as I was getting crashes. I'm also using ubiquity UDMP and a 48 port switch so I'm wondering if there is anything I specifically need to do other then what's in the update notes? Also would the 6.12.3 setup cause issues when trying to enable aggregation through my switch since my dell r730xd and the network card should support it? Because every time I tried my system would not like it. And if so would this update help fix that? Thanks guys.

APC SmartUPS SMT3000RM2U Question
So I have the titled UPS and I would like to connect it to unraid for obvious reasons. I had unraid hooked up to an APC 1000 desktop version and it connected just fine and still connects just fine over the RJ50 to USB cable. However when I hook up the new one it doesn't connect or see it. I've tried all the combos of cables and APC in unraid. The date of manufacture for the Smart UPS is 2011 if that helps.

Intel Arc support
Wut?!?!?!!? Well assuming my 27U rack with all my stuff in it arrives at the new house in one piece I'll give this a shot in a couple days. Anyone else try it?

Intel Arc support
Fair enough. At least with the rate at which UnRaid is doing releases means there is a fair chance to have ARC support late this year or early next year. Thank you.

Intel Arc support
Is UnRaid that far out of date then? So should we expect a skip? It looks like Linux 6.3.9 is up. I'm also pretty sure i know the answer but any idea when we will see at least a version capable of Arc drivers implemented?

Intel Arc support
Ok dumb question EOL? End of life?

Intel Arc support
Yeah. I know they are waiting on ZFS to fully support 6.2 but after that we should get it. I hope there is a big enough push that we get the kernel update as a sub update for unraid.

Intel Arc support
I might check that out. But I'm already on 6.12.1
-
Intel Arc support
Yep. Just waiting on unRAID to go to Linux kernel 6.2. that's it.

Intel Arc support
Yeah I have 2 A380s waiting but I think I'm going to drop some money on an R730xd server and I don't think I can fit 2 dual slot cards in there. But an A380 is effectively an A40 with a low profile backend and a single slot cooler and some different firmware. The hardware appears to be the same.

Intel Arc support
I really want to throw an ARC A40 or 2 in my system but between drivers and parts it's looking like I might grab another av1 card.

It's leftover from troubleshooting for that exact reason. Since you brought it up I'm fixing it now.

2 Crashes in 2 days (Solved)
its a 500gb raid 1 cache. Here's a pic of the sizes and I think system is only that big because I set the docker size to 250GB. Everything else is on there for quick access. If its causing that big of an issue do I need to split my cache into the 2 individual drives (i'm out of sata and nvme slots for now)?

2 Crashes in 2 days (Solved)
I swear if that fixes this I will seriously send you a bag of coffee beans or 6 or at least something equivalent. Is there any limitation I should be aware of with switching to IPVLAN?

2 Crashes in 2 days (Solved)
Well if you guys aren't sick of me yet here goes round 3. So I've had 2 random crashes in as many days I have the syslog for todays crash so I'll upload that as well. Beyond that I've got 2 minor concerns from the syslog. What would keep waking my drives up for smart checks every couple hours? And why at around 2am did it report my cache full? If I can get this solved I will gladly donate some local coffee beans to someones house. Thanks, syslog-192.168.1.112.log wazserver-diagnostics-20230210-0857.zip

Massive transcoding. Gotta go through 20TB and climbing of videos. Especially going to AV1 which even with GPUs is going to be fun. Once the Movies are done i've got 35TB more of TV shows and anime I'll likely go through. AV1 support is coming for direct stream here in the next year or two so i'm settling on that and downloading everything I can in BluRay Remux 1080p.

Intel Arc support
So possible dumb question but if we do this kernel update will it affect us at all when we move to unraid 6.12 or does this all just get overwritten? I've got 2 A380s I've been playing with and I would love to try it out on Tdarr and tweak things out on that. Speaking of which have you seen anyone able to get AV1 going on Tdarr yet?

SSD Cache Problems/Questions (Solved)
So i've got 2 Samsung 980s in Raid 1 for a cache drive. I've been running into corrupted docker images for a couple weeks and as best I can tell the RAM is fine. So today I decided to run a scrub as I realized I don't have it setup to do it automatically and it found 4 uncorrectable errors. The general idea that i've found is to reformat the drives and continue on as normal. So here's the questions. Whats the best plan moving forward? If I have to format the drives since they are raid 1 can I do it by dropping one drive, format, make reformatted drive the cache, move data, drop other drive, format and add as raid 1 and if I can do that "how" would I do it? I've also heard switching to xfs solves corrupted image files but nothing concrete. So how bad of an idea would it be to drop to single drive and run xfs for cache and repurpose the other ssd? I've attached the smart files for the drives. Th only thing I find concerning in my untrained eye is the unsafe shutdowns and the temps. I can drop the diagnostics if you want as well.
