  1. Yeah. I know they are waiting on ZFS to fully support 6.2 but after that we should get it. I hope there is a big enough push that we get the kernel update as a sub update for unraid.
  2. I might check that out. But I'm already on 6.12.1
  3. Yep. Just waiting on unRAID to go to Linux kernel 6.2. that's it.
  4. Yeah I have 2 A380s waiting but I think I'm going to drop some money on an R730xd server and I don't think I can fit 2 dual slot cards in there. But an A380 is effectively an A40 with a low profile backend and a single slot cooler and some different firmware. The hardware appears to be the same.
  5. I really want to throw an ARC A40 or 2 in my system but between drivers and parts it's looking like I might grab another av1 card.
  6. For anyone curious. Morse Code Translator
  7. Yeah r/unRAID is awesome and so is r/datahoarder. People there are super helpful especially to new guys. The place I subscribe to but never post is r/homelab. Not sure why but everyone there is a critic or well not nice.
  8. It's leftover from troubleshooting for that exact reason. Since you brought it up I'm fixing it now.
  9. its a 500gb raid 1 cache. Here's a pic of the sizes and I think system is only that big because I set the docker size to 250GB. Everything else is on there for quick access. If its causing that big of an issue do I need to split my cache into the 2 individual drives (i'm out of sata and nvme slots for now)?
  10. I swear if that fixes this I will seriously send you a bag of coffee beans or 6 or at least something equivalent. Is there any limitation I should be aware of with switching to IPVLAN?
  11. Well if you guys aren't sick of me yet here goes round 3. So I've had 2 random crashes in as many days I have the syslog for todays crash so I'll upload that as well. Beyond that I've got 2 minor concerns from the syslog. What would keep waking my drives up for smart checks every couple hours? And why at around 2am did it report my cache full? If I can get this solved I will gladly donate some local coffee beans to someones house. Thanks, syslog-192.168.1.112.log wazserver-diagnostics-20230210-0857.zip
  12. Massive transcoding. Gotta go through 20TB and climbing of videos. Especially going to AV1 which even with GPUs is going to be fun. Once the Movies are done i've got 35TB more of TV shows and anime I'll likely go through. AV1 support is coming for direct stream here in the next year or two so i'm settling on that and downloading everything I can in BluRay Remux 1080p.
  13. That did it. Thanks and bunch. Now can I ask for a learning experience and ask how you found that?
  14. Holy Moly you are fast. Sorry for the Wait. wazserver-diagnostics-20230206-0922.zip
  15. So possible dumb question but if we do this kernel update will it affect us at all when we move to unraid 6.12 or does this all just get overwritten? I've got 2 A380s I've been playing with and I would love to try it out on Tdarr and tweak things out on that. Speaking of which have you seen anyone able to get AV1 going on Tdarr yet?
  16. So i've got 2 Samsung 980s in Raid 1 for a cache drive. I've been running into corrupted docker images for a couple weeks and as best I can tell the RAM is fine. So today I decided to run a scrub as I realized I don't have it setup to do it automatically and it found 4 uncorrectable errors. The general idea that i've found is to reformat the drives and continue on as normal. So here's the questions. Whats the best plan moving forward? If I have to format the drives since they are raid 1 can I do it by dropping one drive, format, make reformatted drive the cache, move data, drop other drive, format and add as raid 1 and if I can do that "how" would I do it? I've also heard switching to xfs solves corrupted image files but nothing concrete. So how bad of an idea would it be to drop to single drive and run xfs for cache and repurpose the other ssd? I've attached the smart files for the drives. Th only thing I find concerning in my untrained eye is the unsafe shutdowns and the temps. I can drop the diagnostics if you want as well. 17. Ran 2 passes through memtest 86 and 0 errors so I guess ill keep an eye on it and if it happens again...well RAM is cheap.
  18. Understood I guess its a good thing this mobo includes a memtest option. Ill run that real quick and get back to you. Thanks.
  19. My dockers crashed last night and woke up to none of them working. Went to try and restart the docker and it won't restart. Then I noticed I have an error from the Fix Common Problems app one for Unable to write to cache and the other unable to write to docker image. Appreciate any help you guys can give me. Thanks, wazserver-diagnostics-20230123-0817.zip
  20. Out of curiosity is there a reason you're asking? Personally I'm going to run 2 A380s. For short term both are going to be loaded into tdarr to roll through 50TB of movies, TV shows and anime. Long term i'm going to split them and use either one for tdarr to manage new incoming media and the other for passthrough or plex. Depends if i see a bonus for plex over my 11600k's iGPU.
  21. Yeah they keep doing surveys and the VAST majority of their customers don't use anything close to 30 drives. Although some crazy individuals run unraid as dockers in unraid as a host. I think unless youre running something super crazy 30 drives is more than enough. Especially with the HDD manufacturers getting ready to release 30TB drives and scaling up to 120TB by 2030ish. Also unless they add more parity drives running even 28 drives is kinda hairy.
  22. Any news on linux kernel 6.0? I'd like to get some Intel ARC support going.
