Hi so over the weekend I thought I was tidying my shares up, so I set up a movie share for disks 1 & 2 and moved all my movies too there and repeated for my other shares to other drives, so I now have the following and I have been told this is wrongly set up after asking about setting plex shares up on a fb page, so here I am now asking for some help. Is this wrong to set unraid shares up like this and how to correct it ? thanks broxi-diagnostics-20230417-0901.zip

hi does this look okay i have an empty /mnt/vms_cache/system/docker folder but have a docker image file sitting in /mnt/vms_cache, just wanted to ask before i go any further ? Thanks broxi-diagnostics-20230407-0932.zip

Sorry to sound stupid but do I delete the folder or the file and do I move the one outside or leave as is ?

thanks that brought them back, now i have parity running but it appears i now have two docker images in /mnt/vms_cache. one in system folder and the other by itsself

added a second ssd cache drive for my vm and docker files. so new drive set up in pool and stopped the docker and vm service and moved my domains, appdata and system to the array so cache was empty restarted the vm and also changed the docker location to the new drive, mover moved the files back onto the new drive and they all show okay started everything up but no dockers showing, but showing as installed in apps. further looking and i still have these folders sitting on a disk in the array as well as the new cache drive. any help ? Hi i have a drive that i don't need on the array it just sits with files that aren't accessed and i can add again if needed so i would like to remove it from the array and just have it as an unassigned drive but want to keep the data intact on the drive. i have been reading up but loads of different advice about remounting it after its been removed. any help please ? Thanks this will be my last upgrade the next will be a full hardware with nvme ports, so just want to add a nvme cache drive

Hi I am running an old Gigabyte F2A85XM-D3H and would like to add a nvme card via an add on pcie expansion card, are there any recommendations as to which card works with unraid, btw in the UK if it makes a difference when buying ? Thanks

Hi running 6.11.5 and looking at the following do they look okay or can I delete any log files, asking as my cache drive keeps growing

i have been playing around and found out no docker installed and my cache sits below 20Gb add the docker with whatever Vdisk size i input and the cache drive increases by that same amount. what i cant understand is that nothing has changed for months but the cache now increase up to 40Gb with a 20Gb Vdisk set up

Hi all newbie running unraid for the last few months my cache drive has been sitting around 18-19Gb full but over the last week this has jumped to around 39-40Gb so narrowed it down to my docker image. So deleted image and the cache drops back to around 18Gb usage add docker with no apps or dockers installed and it jumps back up to 40Gb. Was running plex with the arr’s and qbitorrent, Does this sound correct, I can’t get my head round why it sits for months then increases ? broxi-diagnostics-20230316-1041.zip

Thanks but a newbie with unraid, so are you saying start the server and the array starts automatically, which i have now done, but this drive still shows with the red X . i can go into the drive and the folders are still there with contents showing update stopped the server shut down and made sure to swap the cables from this drive and still the same

Hi i was told to switch sata cables around to see if it solved it, so stopped everything and shut down server swapped the cables around and rebooted but kept the dockers stopped but now have a red X against a disk, so shut it down again till someone says what to do ? Thanks had the same answer on fb, turned out I had a docker pointing towards the old share edited it and restarted and it seems fine atm Thanks

Hi I had a share named Data and in windows I changed it to data, now I have two shares, and so I tried mc to delete the Data share after checking it was empty but it keeps coming back after a reboot, any help on how to get rid of it ? Thanks
