  1. Hello everybody, my tower is not going to sleep. It is 3:52 p.m. right here and this is my system log My disks are spun down but the tower is not going to sleep automaticaly, My sleep settings are set to "Extra delay after array inactivity: 10", can you guys help me find out what the problem is, this isn't the first time that this happens to me. These are my settings: And 192.168.123.51 is down, I double checked.
  2. Yeah, but I'm wondering about the command line level, because it doesn't seem to hard to write a script that ssh's into the server and fetches the hash and presents it to you on windows.
  3. Oww that's a bummer, but it's a windows problem I guess. How can you view the hash from the linux console?
  4. The plugin looks great, will I be able to see the checksums that are created in the samba shares on my windows computer. I've read that the checksums are being stored in the metadata of the files, can I view it somehow?
  5. Hmmm, I think the people where it is working, they didn't set it up unde 6.1.8, I think 6.1.8 broke something...
  6. Lol look at my thread just below yours, it isn't working either for me... https://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=46567.0 I did a clean unraid 6 install, I've no idea what's going on...
  7. I just retried adding the pushbullet agent and it still doesn't work (again an empty .sh file...), here is my diagnostics file: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BymG7-nABOfnekhSVEhBRlpJOHc/view?usp=sharing Somebody with the same problem: https://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=46593.0
  8. With diagnostics you mean system log on the top on the right?
  9. I get the emails, but the pushbullet notifications aren't working. And everywhere where I checked email notification, I also checked the agents...
  10. But I don't get notifications, so I don't think it is working fine? Should I restart the server?
  11. Hello everybody, I'm trying to set up pushbullet config notification agent. I created a pushbullet account and got my token and pasted it in the token field in unraid. After that I hit apply with the agent function on 'enabled'. On the bottom on the right I see the line "saving /boot/config/plugins/dynamix/notifications/agents/Pushbullet.sh". But when I check my USB key on the path "/config/plugins/dynamix/notifications/agents/", I find an empty Pushbullet.sh file , what am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance
  12. Just before it goes to sleep would be awesome, because that would mean I don't need the server anymore, so he can start writing to the array. What are the custom command I should run before sleep to start the mover just before the server goes to sleep? What happens when the cache is full, will it start the mover automatically?
  13. But there are no fixed hours the server is on, is there something else I can try?
  14. Hello everybody, I'm using unraid with a few hard disks as datastorage and I'm looking into cache drives to speed some things up. I've read that there is a mover in unraid that runs every night to move data from the cache drive to the parity. But I don't want to run my server 24/24, so now I'm wondering if I use the sleep script and my server is in S3 sleep during the night. Will the mover never run? Thanks in advance
  15. But It Would Take Longer To Boot Up. I Think I Only Want An Usb To Install Plex And crashplan On, So The Array Can Still Spin Down And Server Goes To Sleep. edit: Can I also buy let's say a 60gb ssd, install raid on this and install plex / crashplan etc. on it and boot from this ssd. (Instead of the usb) So I don't have to buy a license but I won't have the cachedrive, but it will go to sleep/shutodwn after array spindown.
  16. i'm not powering down because I want it to be able to work with Wake on lan. Maybe I don't need a cache-drive. But I need a solution so my system is able to go in sleep and run plex. Now I've assigned plex to my disk 1 => plex logs all the time => array not sleeping => pc not sleeping. I was thinking maybe I could mount a USB drive and set location for plex/ crashplan etc to this usb drive. But it isn't working . Can't mount the usb properly btw: using SimpleFeatures v1.0.11 and unraid 5 rc 11
  17. Hello, I have another question. Since I'm going to buy a new hard disk to replace my f4. I was thinking to upgrade to the pro edition, so I can install a cache drive. But I've got still some questions about that. I was thinking to get the samsung 840 120gb SSD for cache drive. I'm also gonna run plex and crashplan on it since the logging keeps my array awake. And I can't use sleep because it waits 45 minutes after disk spindown. Is this a good idea to get this drive and to run those programs on that ssd cache drive. My second question is a tricky one I guess . I assume my disk array is at idle /spun down when writing files to the server because all files go to the cache drive. So will my unraid server go into sleep while copying to my server (cache drive) since my array is spun down. (I'm using simple features to sleep the machine, after 15min spin down disk, 45 min later put server to sleep, it's the delay after disk spindown), or shouldn't I focus on the delay after disk spindown (since the cache drive won't spin down" and just set an "Interval of network inactivity". Or does it also check if there isn't been written/read from the cache drive? If so, it will also never go to sleep because plex and crashplan are logging to this crash drive, or am I wrong? I really need sleep , find it a waste to keep the server up 24/24 7/7 when not using it. So: I want my server to go to sleep when not using it and I don't want my server go to sleep when writing to the cachedrive, even if my array is spun down.
  18. First Of All Thank You For The Posts. I'll Post This Evening the question About Simple Features In The Subtopic. But If I Understand Correctly. If I Set The limit Right On The Cachedrive. There Isn't Any chanceThat Transfer Fails Using Microsoft Explorer . ( Even If The Total Amount OF Files Transfering To The Raid Is Larger As The Cachedrive)

Saw this: Does that mean I can only copy 120gb a day (assuming mover moves once a day) to the server? Or can I copy as much as the array can handle, but am I limited to maximum filesize to 120gb? (I don't have files that are 120gb large. I think I've read somewhere that when cache is full it will go straight to the array.) thanks in advance edit: using unraid 5.11rc with simple features 1.0.11
  20. Since Other People Had The Same Problem With Their F4 On qnap Nas Box, I Think It Isn't Compatible With.Unraid/Sleep Because It's A Slow Waker. Didn't Got Time To Flash My Hdd Yesterday, Gonna Try This Evening. thanks edit: should I enable PM2 http://wdc.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/958/~/how-to-enable-and-disable-pm2-%28power-management%29-on-wd-sata-drives ? "Note: Power management allows the drive to be powered-up into the Standby power management state to minimize inrush current at power-up and to allow the host to sequence the spin-up of devices."
  21. Isn't 18 amperes enough for 3 drives and a low power dual core cpu? How many amps do you suggest? How many disks can I go on this PSU? (http://forum.qnap.com/viewtopic.php?f=182&t=41597 says the spin up of samsung drive is 2 amps adn for a western digital green its less than 2 amps , I must say I have other greens)
  22. Hmmm don't think that PSU is that bad. http://be.hardware.info/productinfo/170749/be-quiet!-system-power-7-300w#tab:testresultaten (it's in dutch) http://www.anandtech.com/show/6013/350450w-roundup-11-cheap-psus/11 (but this is the 350 watt model) Here is the website of my PSU: http://www.bequiet.com/en/powersupply/325 This evening I flash it with JP firmware and flash it and I put it back in the server. And if it fails again I will post a syslog. found this: http://forum.qnap.com/viewtopic.php?p=184182
  23. But If I Read The Thread I Linked To Many Other People Did That, Because The Non JP Firmware Doesn't Change The Firmware Number. I've Also Read The JP Model Is The Same AsThe Normal, but It Is For The Japanese Markrt. Maybe A Person Who Did Flash The JP Version On A Non-JP Hard Disk Can Confir This?
  24. I found this: http://sourceforge.net/apps/trac/smartmontools/wiki/SamsungF4EGBadBlocks But before I put the f4 in my unraid server I reflashed it with the latest firmware I could find. Maybe it didn't work Edit: Think I'm Going To try To Flash The JP1 Firmware. Altought My Drive Isn'T The JP Model
