Solutions

  1. TheLinuxGuy's post in Array on USB 3.1 enclosure keeps failing parity sync and disconnecting randomly was marked as the answer
I wasn't able to fix this issue when nesting unraid with proxmox as the hypervisor.

I put this USB3 enclosure on an older HP 800 G6 mini pc and booted unraid there, the system has been stable for 3 days.
  2. TheLinuxGuy's post in 6.12.6 "Main" drive list empty - everything else is working - same behavior in multiple web browsers was marked as the answer
I ended up rebooting, and that solved the issue.
  3. TheLinuxGuy's post in Moving Plex "Active streams" from array to cache to reduce spin up? was marked as the answer
Actually that seems to use RAM space and not the one I had read about.

After some more intensive googling I found the script: https://github.com/bexem/PlexCache

IMO this script is def better than using ram
