  1. Any ideas? Would really like to start a few tests with this GUI. I ended up doing one with screen and ssh and it just finished fine.
  2. I am wanting to preclear a disk that I used to have mounted via unassigned devices. I unmounted that drive and then clicked on the preclear icon next to the disk. The preclear screen is stuck showing me "Please wait... retrieving information!". I have tried restarting my server and different web browsers but it stays stuck with that message. Any ideas on how to get past this screen?
  3. Hmm, and it only happens when you use your one flash drive? Or do other devices give the code 10 if they are connected?
  4. My money is still on the fact that you are running Windows XP. Especially since it is happening with a USB3 drive. I would check your motherboard manufacturers website and see if they have any XP drivers for USB3. I know that in a VM your emulating a lot of that but it couldn't hurt to try. Could you setup a test Windows 7 VM (don't put in the Windows key) and just see if that fixes it? You should have 3 days to test the VM before Windows makes you register.
  5. I would be interested in knowing what happens if you installed Windows 7 or 10 and tried passing through the controllers. I have never tried this with Windows XP so my thoughts immediately jump to that as a strong possibility. I have never had any issues with my controllers on Windows 7, 8, or 10 but that could very well just be my hardware...
  6. As long as the output of readlink /sys/bus/usb/devices/usb1 readlink /sys/bus/usb/devices/usb2 is different then you should be able to pass-through the controller that unRAID is not currently on. If they are both the same then you will need to mess with your bios settings.
  7. Ok so what is your output of: readlink /sys/bus/usb/devices/usb1 readlink /sys/bus/usb/devices/usb2 Also can you show me what your IOMMU Groups shows? Go to your unRAID gui -> Tools -> System Devices -> IOMMU Groups Just want to make sure I fully understand what is going on before I recommend the next steps.
  8. What is the output of lspci | grep USB
  9. Fair enough, no use duplicating work if a major overhaul is anticipated for 6.2 So check back in 30 mins?
  10. I noticed today that I had a few dockers that needed updating. I like to see what has changed before clicking update. The "Docker Container" tab does not seem to show what changes have taken place (at least I could not find it). I did see that the CA tab will show the changes if I specifically search for the docker and then click on they changes to docker blue button. I was wondering if there was a filter in CA that would sort by user installed dockers (if not would it be hard to add)? That way it would be faster to see the changes. If there is an easier way to see the changes please let me know.
  11. So when does this drop the [beta] tag?
  12. Yeah... and catch up on reading books and taking a walk...
  13. I added a few notes to the end of my guide from another thread to help users if they run into only having 1 bus.
  14. OHHH. Could you add a nice female voice for audio notifications??? And maybe a "Hey unRAID" voice activation and then we could ask unRAID how our hard drives are doing and if unRAID is too hot or cold.
  15. You haven't seen my special version Whoa, first docker and KVM and next drink service! "unRAID the most advanced NAS in the world! It even serves drinks because WHY NOT?" disclaimer the general surgeon and Lime Tech discourage copious amounts of beer drinking. The definition of copious is left up to the interpretation of each user.
  16. When you keep CTRL pressed, while selecting reboot, it will initiate the powerdown script (if installed) instead of the standard reboot sequence. Oh, that's awesome! You really think of everything!
  17. Any ideas on why everything time I reboot my server CouchPotato fails to autostart? Plex starts but needs to be restarted on a fresh reboot to actually work. Sonarr and Photoshow start and work just fine. All four are from linuxserver.
  18. I am using the "Dynamix System Buttons" program on my system. When I click "reboot" it does not restart my array. It only Stops the array and will take the array off-line. I then have to click the restart button on unRAID itself to finally get it to reboot. This works one a friends machine so my guess is my virtual machines are causing this. I noticed that reboot will not trigger my powerdown S00.sh scripts like if I were to type "powerdown -r" into SSH. Any thoughts on if I am on the right track? Relevant syslog attached
  19. Just updated to the latest version and my array now has a new share called "Documentos". I reported this under the unassigned devices plugin with more details. http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=38635.msg407421#msg407421
  20. LOL, I was just going to comment on the fact that it's been 24 hours since a major unRAID release and I haven't seen a CA update! I was going to check in and make sure you were feeling OK Misread that at first.... Thought you originally said that its been 24 hours since a CA update and you haven't seen another one.... Lol funny stuff. But seriously thanks for all the hard work you do!

  22. Are you running unRAID 6.1? I haven't tried yet. Yeah I currently pass an USB 3 controller to my Windows 10 VM.
  23. Your assumption is correct, you should not need to do this after every reboot. You may want to double check that your unRAID flash drive isn't read only by sticking it in a windows PC and seeing if it wants to repair the flash drive.
  24. Awesome and thanks for the feedback. You are correct, the GUI should already have that line of code in it. I noticed that a few users didn't have that in their XML's so added it as a double check for anyone following the guide.
  25. +1 this is a really great idea. It would be fantastic to let the wife have access to turn on her VM from her phone.
