  1. OMG.. I just fixed this... Seems that the TYPE of network card passed to pfsense was also changed from e1000 to virtio-net.. Again, I didn't make this change so no idea why it auto-updated itself.
  2. This has been an extremely frustrating couple of hours and I'm no closer to solving it. I have a pfSense VM running under unraid, which has a dual Intel NIC passed through to it. Been working great for about 3 years +. I perform regular updates on unraid, and currently on 7.2.3. It ALWAYS comes back up after a reboot or any other changes, so I've never had an issue. Today I was t-shooting some VPN slowness and figured I'd pin my VM (which has 4 CPU cores given to it) to the P cores on my Intel in case that made a difference. ^^ This CPU change was the ONLY change I made ^^ FIRST ISSUE: The VM couldn't find the boot image/device. Some how a setting seemed to have been changed that meant the primary vDiskbus was changed from SATA to VirtIO Once I changed this back to SATA - it all worked. SECOND ISSUE < I cannot fix currently. The VM seems unable to find the Intel NICs which are passed through to it. Tools > System Devices show the 2 x Intel Ethernet controllers in IOMMU groups 10 & 11 These are still ticked / selected Have a green circle next to them. pfSense VM > Edit - I can see the 2 NICs under "Other PCI devices" and they are selected. Looking at the XML of the VM config with help of google/gemini, it seems they need some XML config added so that they are: On the same bus (bus-='0x04') The first entry requires this at the end of the line: multifunction='on' The 2nd entry requires the same bus, but function changed from 0x0 to 0x1. ^^ None of this is working for me. The VM now boots up, and I can see it's got all the VLAN config, but neither of those 2 NICs are showing up. I've rebooted the Unraid server and still no change. I'm really hoping that someone can help me here as I'm lost on how to get this working.
  3. Initial Parity is now complete, and happy to report that it auto-starts the array as expected. I'm assuming due to parity not being complete, this was registered as "an issue" and therefore required manual start.
  4. I’m getting a bunch of the same logs here with a BX950MI. Is there anything we can do to help fix this? provide some log or perform any tests?
  5. Thanks for getting back to me Jorge. ill let this parity finish and then give it another reboot
  6. I think I got it set to auto start, but when I reboot it doesn't auto start? Now the only thing I can think of, is the initial parity check hasn't completed yet... is that a thing that it won't auto start without initial parity done?
  7. Hi, I have the "Data" share (plus others) which I'd like all new files to be cached on my cache pool, then moved on the mover schedule. Currently this data share, and others, are setup like this: I believe I just need to do this, and I'll keep all my existing files on the array, but new ones will go to the cache? Is this correct?
  8. Ahh yes I will delete it after, but was just checking my idea of how moving data from one drive to another would work. Thanks!
  9. Hi, I have a share all on disk 1 which I'd like to move to disks 2 & 3. /mnt/disk1/share1 In the UI I believe I need to change the included disks to Disk 2 & 3, and exclude disk 1. But this will NOT copy/move existing data, it'll only be true for new data. Therefore, from the CLI I plan to do this: cp -R -u /mnt/disk1/share1 /mnt/disk2/share1 This will move all the data from disk1, onto disk2. Then, when I access that data via the SMB share, unraid will automatically know the existing data is now in disk2... Is my understanding of this correct?
  10. Thanks a lot for your help on this! Would I move the data as I laid out in the initial post on this? Would it just move all the data it could over hours/days and relocate the data?
  11. ahh thanks for that... Could I use the 2 x 8TB drives as primary storage, and then 16TB drive as the parity for both? Or would that not work either?
  12. Hopefully the title makes sense... I currently have 3 disks: 16TB - disk 1 8TB - disk 2 8TB - disk 3 I have data on all 3 disks, but I'm using around 11.5 TB. I want to move everything to the 16TB drive, and then use the other 2 x 8TB drives for parity. I currently have set some shares to use disk 1 only, disk 2 or 3 only etc. How would I go about doing this? Would I simply just change the included / excluded disks and unriad will shuffle round the data for me? And once it's finished moving the data, I would then switch over those 2 x 8 TB disks to be parity disks? Screenshot to show you what I mean:
  13. Hey, I'm monitoring the Eth0 interface with Zabbix but it's not adding up with what Unraid is reporting. Zabbix is reporting a few Kbps, but Unraid is reporting 100+ Mbps. Unraid is correct as I was watching a film through plex container, which uses this interface. Is there something I need to change? Screenshots attached here of what Unraid web ui shows me, and what Zabbix is reporting.
  14. Ahh this was it thanks!
  15. Hey @KluthR Thanks for your work on this and the new app! I updated to latest Unraid (6.12.6) and installed the new app as requested. However my backups are not working any more and there are 3 issues I'm unsure about. 1: The App is complaining about backing up external volumes - I'm not sure exactly what this means? 2: I think it's related to number 1, it's also complaining about removing container mappings as they are "Source paths" - but again I'm unsure what this means exactly. 3: Perhaps related to 1 and 2, it's just saying that the container doesn't have any volume to backup. But if it's removed a mapping due to the "source path" issue, then I guess that is the problem to fix?
