  1. I hope this will be implemented somewhere in the near future, some of us wants to have a PB server and as of now unraid is no good for that so we are forced to switch to other "NAS Os", Even being released as an "Advanced Toggle" option where we agree to a certain condition before enabling it, i'll take it.
  2. Kernel 6.2 is already stable even Ubuntu's next version is going to release with it as its kernel, and it has full support for intel arc, can we possibly see this on the stable release Soon™ or possibly next RC? Thanks!
  3. Well i think that they are going the ZFS route, might as well include it right so we can also take advantage of the speed of multiple vdev composing of multiple device per vdev. That is what i am saying in my previous post that at the time unraid was developed it was aimed for home enthusiast, now that times have changed, i hope unraid will adapt and make PB on unraid possible. Just my 2 ¢
  4. Well assuming you want to build a 1PB server with lets say 20tb drives, you still need minimum of 50, and that is without parity and may be reduced with format capacity, im just saying.
  5. I hope in the future the said 30+ drive limit will be removed and so we have an option to extend our zfs with vdev pairs(eg 4 device,5 device,6 device) for speed and also for more parity im currently building a 1pb server and im sad that i might outgrow my unraid server as much as possible i want to switch OS i want unraid's simplicity and user friendlyness as well as S tier UI i hope in the future end user have the choice to have no limit on the array even if we have to accept a pop up that we are doing it at our own risk, i can live with that. I know that this was not really in the pipeline specially when unraid was built its target market was home enthusiast and at that time hard disks was not that affordable so at that time devs did not think that people will chuck in more that 30 drive in their servers but now that the times have changed specially server grade equipments are more affordable and easier to acquire even, i hope Limetech can look at my simple request
  6. Where can i get the lenovo firmware? is it the same with the link you sent previously?
  7. Mine is lenovo version and i dont have intel hba, will i be able to flash it?
  8. Hi can i ask how did you install B057? i only found B059 in their site, it seems when B057 is in use(which is used by intel version) you can use all ports vs B059 wide ports cant be used.
  9. In that future when multi array is supported will 30 still be the limit per array? or it will be as needed basis? Thanks!
  10. Thank you for giving a good and logical answer
  11. How "Soon" is "Soon"? This thread is almost 1 month old and a lot of teasing yet no actual output
  12. Now that Raid is coming to UnRaid and the way its heading is to different tiers/level or Array why not call it Arraid or something lol JK, and now that zfs and multiple array has come and possibly removing the drive limitation it opened up alot of opportunity for the company now it is possible to partner with hardware sellers e.g. 45 drives x unraid, who knows in the future we can see STORINATOR with Unraid option on their site.
  13. is having multple vdev on a single dataset possible?, and can we just add another pool_3 to increase the size of pool_2? or will they be a seperate vdev thus seperate filesystem and different mountpoint? are are we able to combine them?
  14. Holy S----- now i'm excited and pumped. is it seamless? no manual intervention and fully automated?, one last thing now that zfs is supported is there still a hard drive limit in the array assuming all will be zfs or removing the said limit is in the works?
  15. Is it possible to combine both zfs and xfs on a single array? if not, will there be a tool/plugin to migrate existing xfs(which probably most unraid user are using) to zfs.?
