  1. I am unable to login. I enter the correct user name, password and used the server address of clients.us2.crashplan.com Is there anything I can do to get crashplan working?
  2. Hi all, I have this warning on my Dashboard > Array, "Array has 1 SMART error." Is it possible for me to fix this error? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Steve tower-diagnostics-20240404-1115.zip
  3. Oh wow I didn't see that. Thanks for pointing that out. (embarrassing). Lets this be a lesson not to play around with Unraid when you have a migraine.
  4. Im trying to install a VM. I set the size of the virtual disk to 1TB. I try to install the OS but the avalible disk size is extremely small.
  5. Hi all, Does anyone have advice or can point me in a direction where I can set up my Unraid server to be accessible from anywhere in the world? Is this called an FTP server? Thanks
  6. Thanks for pointing out the hourly scan. I set it to monthly. I think crashplan did crash during that set of diagnostics. I looked into the crashplan log and it said that it was running out of memory.
  7. Hi all, Ive been running out of RAM on my unraid server. I found out thats why CrashPlanPro was crashing regularly. I have attached my diagnostics file. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. tower-diagnostics-20231130-1122.zip
  8. I really want to set up a VM to have RTX Quadro support, similar to this tech demo
  9. Hi all, I'm a newbie when it comes to Unraid. I'm very happy with the data storage, redundancy and cloud backup features and now exploring whats possible with VMs. So far I've set up a Kitsu server for project management, and its amazing. But I want to explore whats possible with GPU rendering. I've noticed how fragile VMs are with the ability to break them easily while trying to get GPU passthrough going. Is there a way to backup VMs to preserve them from being broken? Will there be an easy way to set up GPU pass-through on Unraid? I noticed toggling between VM and pass-through breaks the VM but not the data. So far the fragility of Unraid VMs with GPU pass-through and setting up Linux, which is so easy to break, leads me to believe that setting up a render farms is way too esoteric for me. I know it may be a slightly sepperate issue, but installing the nvidia drivers is near impossible without breaking the VM of linux. I just wanted to leave a note here that I hope more development can be done to make setting up and backing up VM's way more user friendly out of the box, because there is massive potential to set up some pretty amazing stuff...like renderfarms. Steve
  10. Sorry for my late reply. I just mean, is there a way to look at all the files on disk and also a search function through a GUI
  11. Thank you so much, I really appreciate it : )
  12. Hi all, me again (sorry for my newbie questions) Is it possible to create a share called scratch, that we configure to use the SSD cache pool as the primary storage, and that data stays on scratch but is backed up to the parity drive? I would like a fast scratch drive, using the SSD cache pool, where the data stays there, but is backed up to the parity drive for redundancy. Thanks Steve
  13. Hi, is there some way we can search for files on Unraid?
  14. I got it going and I will write notes here For anyone who finds this thread. Please take everything I say with a massive grain of salt as I actually dont know how I got it to work and don't really understand the complex notions. - install and set up your unraid. - put your iso of ubuntu in the iso share - configure the iso share to be private, and give yourself read write access - Go to VM and choose ubuntu, set it up with some cpu's, ram, point to the ISO, set network to br0, virtio-net - I dont know if this helped but go to management access and enable SSH (this could be unrelated) - install ubuntu, make sure it has a static IP when you set it up, I used this video to help - use chat gpt to help mimic each step of the process when you get stuck - configure ubuntu to have all the needed networking capabilities and settings such that other computers on the network can access it. It should work. PLease also note that CGwire is making a docker version which will be production ready at some stage. So I think, soon enough, there will be an app in the community app store, which would make it 1000% more easy to get running with the kitsu server.
