  1. Just wanted to say thanks, this thread saved me 200 bucks. I almost bought an Nvidia GPU for plex transcoding but it's not needed cuz my Intel CPU has quicksync, followed the instructions and it works perfectly!
  2. The time sounds about normal, try to avoid having a crash or an unclean shutdown. I have 3) Seagate Ironwolf 8TB and my weekly parity check takes 9-10 hours
  3. Looks to me like there's only 32 gig installed. That part of the dashboard confused me at first, I started off with 2) 16 gig sticks of ram and later added 2) 32 gig sticks for a grand total of 96 gig of DDR4 3200 (usable size 93.1), my maximum size is 128 gigs....out of 93.1 gigs I'm using 27.1 gigs with quite a bit left over.
  4. Hello, I'm not a forum guru, I like to tinker and I used to use a windows machine to copy things over but now I use binhex-Krusader....it'll give you copy speeds and let ya pause if need be. EDIT: Link for SpaceInvaderOnes video on how to move data
  5. I went ahead and unmounted all my SMB network shares, totaling 4 going to truenas, OMV, OMV on a PI and my local hard disk, and my unassigned devices as well and the CIFS errors stopped.
  6. I get this error, and have been getting this error for some time now, I only discovered it because I set up a separate syslog server on another machine just screwing around. I don't read syslogs unless I have a real problem. I haven't tried a downgrade, I'd frankly just like to skip that if I could.
  7. Hello everyone, I recently ditched Comcast/Xfinity internet, went with a local company that provides Fiber 250 down/250 up, and when I was screwing around with my router and PIA VPN I noticed that PIA is much much slower then my naked internet connection, like 1/10 the speed. I have a cloudflare tunnel on latest unraid running various docker containers, like Plex, CF Tunnel, Firefox, CS2 server, Nextcloud, Guacamole, qBitTorrent, Netdata, Krusader etc...My question is, does ALL the internet traffic go thru the CF tunnel? So in reality, I don't really need a VPN anymore? I'm thinking of using wireguard and running ALL my traffic thru wireguard on the unraid server...one benefit is I'll have ads blocked on my iphone using my bare metal PiHole. Thoughts are appreciated. I'm kinda a newb, I know just enough to be DANGEROUS LOL...
  8. Thank you so much, my unraid/docker container was set to basic, the setting appeared when I slid the tab to advanced. I feel so dumb!
  9. HELLO! I have docker running on my unraid, one of my containers is MeTube and the missing icon is driving me NUTS! I have the new URL for the icon, and I can see the line I need to edit in portainer but cant figure out how to edit it. Thanks in advance!
  10. Hello all, I'm having a strange problem when I remote into my unraid server. I couldn't get remote access to work from the GUI using uPNP, so I did it with "always on, manual forward" and that doesn't work either, so I created a subdomain called unraid.myhostname.org:443 thru a cloudflare tunnel and when I configure it, I can log in but none of the unassigned devices or array shows up. Have a look at the pic below. Any ideas? This is just for testing purposes, I would like to get remote access working thru the unraid connect panel, that way I can turn it off and on when I want.
  11. OK, I FINALLY got Nextcloud working outside my network. PHEW! I stumbled thru creating an argo tunnel, using pieces from spaceinvaderones and IBRACORPs videos and running a few commands. The one hang up was in the tunnel portion was under public hostnames>nextcloud.myserver.org>setting the service to https:mylocalunraidip:1443 and additional app settings > tls > no tls verify. What a workout of my mind.
  12. Thank you, I def will look it over and get back to ya. taking the evening off from unraid and nextcloud
  13. Hello all, I recently tried to install Nextcloud following SpaceInvaderOnes nearly 2 year old video, followed directions to a tee and I can't access the server from the internet. Nextcloud installed ok and it works inside my network, but I get a 520 error from cloudflare when I try to access it from the internet. It seems like a firewall issue, but I found out my firewall was off, and I must've accidentally hit the slider to turn it off. On or off makes no difference. Swag is set up to use port 1443 and port 180. Tried forwarding those, no luck. Created the extra network so NC and Swag can talk. I am using PIA as my VPN thru my Asus RT68U Router, tried to temporarily disable the VPN, no luck. Is there a newer guide that'll get this thing up and running? I own my domain, I initially tried using DuckDNS with cloudflare, but the free domain is stuck in the approval stage. Any help is appreciated ...thx
