@Masterwishxany comment on whether fixing the hardlinking issue is on the docket to be addressed? Just curious, thank you.

W680D4U 2TLT/g5 and Unraid 6.12.14/15: Self Assigned IP
Your timing is perfect, I literally just stumbled on that thread a couple hours ago and fixed the issue. Thank you for the help. for anybody having this problem, the fastest fix was just renaming the primary NIC with the MAC address I was using to “eth0” in the network-config.cfg file on the Unraid USB.

W680D4U 2TLT/g5 and Unraid 6.12.14/15: Self Assigned IP
Need advice on how to troubleshoot this: I got a replacement AsrockRack W680D4U 2TLT/g5 board due to some accidental damage I incurred on my original (identical model) while replacing my CPU. The original configuration ran perfect for over a year, and the current Unraid version on my licensed flash drive is 6.12.14. After replacing the board and reconnecting everything, I tried booting into my original unraid stick but it kept giving itself a self assigned IP. So I decided to take a step back and flashed a separate USB stick with the same version of Unraid (6.12.14), but that ran into the same problem: self assigned IP. Then to verify the LAN was working I booted into Linux Mint from a yet another USB stick: that connected fine to internet, no issues. Then I tried the latest version of Unraid on the another USB stick, 7.0.1, and shockingly, that worked fine. It acquired an IP from my DHCP server and I got into the web gui no problem. i don’t want to upgrade my primary Unraid config to the latest version yet for plugin compatibility reasons, so I’m trying to understand what’s going on that even a new flash with 6.12.14 or 6.12.15 doesn’t get DHCP or connect to my LAN? Where would I begin?

[Plugin] Mover Tuning
@Masterwishx Any chance we could get a fix or option to change how the plugin handles hardlinks? When running mover tuning plugin I frequently get messages like this for files originating from Qbittorrent: Expected 2 files, got 1. Not moving "/mnt/m2cache/./media/Library/*RANDOM_FILE_NAME*" to prevent breaking hardlinks And this happens even to files that are no longer being monitored or used in Qbit, and files that originate from usenet are handled and moved to array without issue 100% of the time. Furthermore, this is only an issue with the plugin's mover operation, a standard system mover operation moves the above mentioned files from cache to array just fine. Thanks for picking up the torch and keeping this plugin alive and well. Your time and effort are massively appreciated by the community.

Hey there, So it's been a few months since I posted about this and I still can't figure out a good solution: files from my torrent container get skipped, even after I stop seeding and remove them from the torrent app. The mover log shows "expected 2 files, got 1...(*lists file path*) won't be moved to prevent breaking hardlinks." How do I work around this? The only setting I user in mover tuning plugin for is to ignore hidden files and folders and schedule moves. Thank you for the assistance.

Will that option respect the option to ignore hidden files and folders?

Is there any chance you could add an option to allow hard-link breaking when mover runs? I know that was recently patched out and it's actually useful for cases where you want to keep a file on both the cache and array (such as maintaining seeding from cache but moving primary file to array), but you want to maintain hard links until mover runs to prevent cache storage overfilling in the meantime.

I'll get that together in a bit, but think I noticed what could be the issue: it successfully lists the files to be filtered in the filter list, but the mover log shows it actually moves a redundant reference. For example, it shows it's filtering everything in /mnt/optanecache/media/.files but the mover log shows it moves those same files using the directory path /mnt/optanecache/./media/.files This would also explain why my item filter was being ignored as well. UPDATE: uninstalled, rebooted, and used standard mover, and it doesn't user redundant references. So this is unique to Mover Tuning ca.mover.tuning.tar.gz

It worked about a week and a half ago, and then I noticed it no longer works. In fact, it even ignores my "ignore files" list as well. It will run pre-scripts though. How can I install the 7-10-24 build in the meantime? EDIT: I got 7-10-24 build installed and it doesn't work at all. When I run it, this is the log output: Aug 2 13:59:55 Calcifer emhttpd: shcmd (121): /usr/local/sbin/mover |& logger -t move & Aug 2 13:59:55 Calcifer move: Log Level: 1 Aug 2 13:59:55 Calcifer move: mover: started Aug 2 13:59:55 Calcifer move: mover: finished I have tried this with ignore hidden files and folders checked and unchecked, it just doesn't want to move anything period. I created a test case with 1 file that should absolutely be moved but it's not being touched. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. UPDATE: I've reinstalled the latest version of the plugin, and with the same settings (ignore hidden files and folders) doing a test move, the expanded log details don't even mention the filter being used in the output, and proceeds to move the items in the hidden folders anyway. At this point, there isn't a version of Mover Tuning that works for me. Not sure what to do.

I cannot figure out why mover tuning plugin is moving my hidden folders despite my specifically enabling "Ignore hidden files and folders" for the specific share.

Appdata share set to cache-preferred, but mover moves folders from cache to array when docker is running
I've got a weird issue I'm trying to understand. I've set my appdata share as cache-preferred, and configured to move data from ARRAY > Cache if necessary (which should be almost never, as my cache is 4tb). But for some reason, when docker is *running* and mover runs, mover moves all the appdata to the array. But when docker is *NOT running* and mover runs, it moves the data back to the cache. I've confirmed my settings for appdata share numerous times and am positive I've got it set up as described. What could be causing this?

Log shows an error when running mover: "/usr/local/emhttp/plugins/ca.mover.tuning/age_mover: line 397: ((: TOTALARRAYSIZE += : syntax error: operand expected (error token is "+= ")" Any idea what this means and how to prevent it from occurring?
