It’s only connected from the USB to the server, seems like there is an issue possible with the way Uraid is communicating with the UPS. What I might try is connecting a laptop with the USB cable and running APC software to see if this is the case.

Thank you for this, could be possible, I understand that this can still occur but the battery is new and no cycles from APC. And is interesting how it works perfectly without being connected through a usb

I have set it to “Yes”, does this cause issue with config ?

Problem Summary: I am experiencing an issue with my APC Back-UPS ES 850G2 when it is connected to my Unraid server via USB. The UPS is configured to shut down the server after 3 minutes of being on battery power, and after the server shuts down, a command is sent to the UPS to power it off. Despite the server’s power consumption being well within the UPS’s capacity (36W-64W out of 520W max*(includes everything on the USP)), the UPS shuts down unexpectedly when the power is lost, making a long beeping sound. To restore functionality, I need to plug the UPS back into power and press the power button twice. I have tried using both Unraid’s built-in UPS management software and the NUT plugin, but the issue persists. Interestingly, if I do not use the USB connection to manage the UPS from my server, the UPS operates normally during a power outage. However, without the USB connection, I lose the ability to monitor the UPS, manage shutdowns, or send the shutdown command to the UPS to conserve battery power, which is crucial for my energy-saving setup both at home and remotely. I contacted APC support regarding this issue, and they mentioned that the beeping and the UPS not kicking in are usually indicative of an overload problem. However, after going through the steps to confirm that the UPS is not overloaded, they recommended downloading the official APC software to manage the UPS. This presents a challenge because I am running Unraid, which is not directly compatible with the APC software, designed for Linux Red Hat or Windows environments. Any suggestions or others experiencing this issue?
  5. Hi, there was a Python app you could download, but I had to do a fresh install unraid and couldn't find it, seems like it has been removed. @ich777 I've downloaded ISCSI target, which works perfectly for a simple plug-and-play situation. Thank you for mentioning this.
  6. Hi I have had issue for a while where I have had to put the account to public as I can see anything to state the account login username. Does anyone know how to change this or what the default is ?
  7. It looks like i have the same error but are running java instead, how did you edit the script
  8. Cheers, appreciate your help
  9. Hi there, Ive managed to get the GUI working when it's on public, however, ive tried both the default username and password setup by photo prism, root and changing the template to the same values. Ive also tried resetting it through the terminal however it doesn't recognise the root or admin user. Ive also tried adding a verbal of a user however still am not having any luck, ive linked what the template was set up when I first attempted to log in to the GUI. Any other suggestion would be much appreciated as it seems there is a user on there but not under admin. For the time being, I'll use it as public however for security would prefer the ability to log in through the GUI. Many thanks Mikey Template.2.mov

  11. Hi, I'm having some issues with logging into the PhotoPrism portal, I have tried changing everything on the setup to root just to make sure I'm not making any errors but still not able to log in. Does anyone have any info on what the default login is at all or any information on what I might be doing wrong?

  14. Hi All, New to Unraid and have made my first mistake of assign my M.2 drive to disk 1 instead of assign it to the chase area. Unfortunately my parity isn't set up and when I go to make disk 1 as none it comes up with the error missing or wrong disk (even though the M.2 Havant been formatted yet). I have tried using the plugging Unbalance but still no resolution without getting the error. Does anyone know how to fix this? If not ive done majority of my tinkering around and have touched basses of majority of the stuff I can do (and can mess up on) that im now ready to start putting data on there, if I reformat the USB again with unraid os can I still use the same license key already purchased or is it going to make me purchase another key?
