ohh really? thats intresting the 780M works :) was this the case for you on the start? or recently started working

Minisforum N5 / N5 Pro
yeah thats fine, nothing really wrong with the cooling to begin with, but the lack of control and sensor availability sucks :) let alone the support on the NPU/APU of the Ryzen chip. (imo this is the most important one, atleast for me). I would very much love to use the integrated APU (or GPU) in this case the Radeon 890M to be usable for either transcoding or for any GPU tasks that discrete gpu has. let alone the NPU for AI tasks seeing this is still non existent with the chip provided with the N5 Pro. sure, I have solved this issue by using a GPU (in my case the RTX 2000 Ada) and just installed it on the available PCI Slot on the N5 Pro and now acts my transcoding/AI workhorse but it would be nice to have a 2nd hardware thats already available to also work :)

I am confident that was the case with the N5 Pro, the curves are controlled properly. Just sad you can't monitor as of yet with unraid

Minisforum N5 / N5 Pro
i have a RTX 2000 Ada card but waiting for the custom cooler to make it fit in the N5, then will atleast have a dedicated nvidia gpu for any gpu task. and yes you are right about the temp/pwm.

Steps to get Plex Hardware Transcoding to work with AMD iGPU (Vega) on AMD mini PC...
did that too :) before unfortunately same issue, but yes your right about /dev/dri since i can go to that folder. i do think is just the lack of proper drivers for this hardware, I even tried a custom (newer) kernel of unraid, same issue. when you do radeontop in terminal, it doesnt really know the gpu model yet: let alone the motherboard for Fan and Temp monitoring, those are unavailable. just fyi I have the Minisforum N5 Pro NAS. running sensors on the terminal :D

Minisforum N5 / N5 Pro
well I do have the N5 Pro with Unraid, i mean it works fine as like any NAS Devices that are open, however it does have some limitations atm with regards to using the GPU/APU/NPU of the CPU :3 motherboard lacks drivers for unraid so you are unable to see fans or system temp, GPU Transcoding dont work yet, VM GPU Passthrough dont work as well. I even tried this with a custom updated kernel far newer than the current unraid one to see if it has better driver support, unfortunately it doesnt. but have been using the N5 Pro since getting it and works fine with everything else, I am waiting for my custom single slot half height gpu cooler then will install an nvidia gpu on it which will solve my transcoding issues and few LLM's. also waiting for the minisforum egpu dock to pair it via oculink which would be another gpu to add (for VM use) but performance is good. Network do tend to reach 9-10Gbit speed, CPU performance is good as well, I havent looked at wattage use (I could I guess if I want to). my set up is 5 drives in zfs raidz1 while using 2 nvme as zfs mirror for cache then another nvme as a backup cache for other tasks, it has an internal usb slot(where my unraid is booting)

Unraid WAN Speed capped at 1Gbps? on a 10Gb line
thanks for the detailed post, however what I did first was just deleted my network config in the unraid config folder. for it to create a new one and somehow that fixed my issue :)

for me hw transcoding is not working Plex Beta + plexpass and still no hw transcoding :D my guess is still no proper support for HX 370 model?, which is weird as it should just work as other APU works

Unraid WAN Speed capped at 1Gbps? on a 10Gb line
Hi, So just as a brief setup situation: 10Gb Internet line using a 10Gb router using fiber connected to a 10Gb aggregation switch where the server is connected. SO fresh install of Unraid using 1x 10Gb link on the server (no bonding). If I do an iperf3 between this Unraid server to another server within the same network it does hit an avg of 8Gbit/s both In & Out, so that leaves out an issue with the LAN. but the moment I do either a direct speedtest through ookla or speed tracker apps in unraid. All tests comes out with a result under 1Gbit/s (avg 700-800mbps) for both Upload and Download. This is all consistent when doing the internet speedtest through Speedtest Tracker app, Ookla CLI through the Terminal, a Windows VM (despite the nic being 10Gbe). When doing the internet speedtest outside of Unraid, in this case my normal windows PC, I would hit around 8.5Gbps as my PC is also connected with a 10Gb link. any idea what would the issue be or better way on testing the internet speed through unraid? as far as firewall goes, it has the same policy as any other 10gb systems I have within my network and all of them are able to reach speeds above 1Gb

[PLUGIN] GPU Statistics
what are the chances on getting the GPU Statistics to work with AMD Ryzen™ AI 9 HX 370 w/ Radeon 890M or are there any plans on supporting it :) as far as I understood it apu's are not giving any metrics at all with the plugin

Unraid Trial to Pro version but on another USB Device
Hi, my first time using unraid but im using a generic USB device but on 128gb, its currently on trial but have made alot of configurations, docker apps, etc. already. I am liking what i'm seeing and i'm ready to get the Pro version. However I would like to make use of a dedicated USB device for this (so another usb stick). So my question is, what is the best method to do this without using the once a year license transfer to a new USB device? Can I transfer the current trial to a new USB then purchase the license then? or redownload unraid on the new USB device, start a trial, purchase the license and transfer all configs? of the current trial to the new one? would appreciate any step by step guide if any
