  1. root@HP-UnRAID:/boot/config/plugins/dynamix.system.temp# sensors
Error: File /etc/sensors.d/sensors.conf, line 2: Undeclared bus id referenced
Error: File /etc/sensors.d/sensors.conf, line 4: Undeclared bus id referenced
    sensors_init: Can't parse bus name
    root@HP-UnRAID:/boot/config/plugins/dynamix.system.temp# cat /etc/sensors.d/sensors.conf
    # sensors
    chip "jc42-i2c-0-18"
    label "temp1" "CPU Temp"
    chip "jc42-i2c-0-19"
    label "temp1" "MB Temp"

It doesn't like your chip identifiers, were these entered manually or found by detect ?

In the latter case you might need a newer version of sensors-detect (it was mentioned in another thread but I don't have it at hand)

  2. I have also the problem that nothing is shown in System Temp - Detect is not working.

In the final release of unRAID 6 there is no perl package included. This needs be installed manually and is needed to make detect work.

You can download the package from http://slackware.cs.utah.edu/pub/slackware/slackware64-14.1/slackware64/d/perl-5.18.1-x86_64-1.txz and save under /boot/extra

EDIT: found it under MainPage - not happy whith this  :(

    Why ??

can i use a command line entry to install that (it's in my newly created /boot/extras folder) because i'm running a preclear at the moment.

    Of course ...

    cd /boot/extra
    installpkg perl-5.18.1-x86_64-1.txz

  4. System temp plugin - every time I reboot I loose the "Arran Fan Speed" setting and have to set it again - otherwise no RPM next to cpu/mb temps

    Any idea why?

What is the content of the file /boot/config/plugins/dynamix.system.temp/sensors.conf before and after you reboot, did it change?

It should have a reference to the fan allocation, e.g.

    chip "nct6776-isa-0290"
    label "fan2" "Array Fan"

  5. Docker >>> shit - sorry for that  >:(

I found the solution by my own:

    1) Go to FlashDrive

    2) Create a folder called "extra"

    3) Put the PlexMediaServer-0.9.12.3.1173-937aac3-x64-UnRAID.txz in

    4) Reboot

    4) Ready and working

Easy as possible - WTF is this Docker for??? Anyway - dosnt matter  :P

When installed this way - not using the plugin manager - there won't be any notification when/if a new version becomes available, and no possibility to uninstall the plugin. In short the plugin manager is not aware of its existence.

I recommend you copy/paste the URL of the plex plugin

    https://github.com/PhAzE-Variance/unRAID/raw/master/Plugins/Plexmediaserver.plg

into the install box under plugins and click install.

That is not installed as a plugin.    It is just installed as Slackware package.

Correct, and in v6 the preferred way is using the plugin manager. It will do all the necessary housekeeping to make life easy !

  7. Another note:  After I updated to v6 the status for UNRAID then showed "unknown" (as I noted above).    Clicking on Update again then fixed that so it said "up-to-date".

HOWEVER ... when I booted it again today, it shows "unknown" again.    As it did last night, if I then click on Update again it reverts back to "up-to-date".

When the system is rebooted then the status of all plugins is "unknown" until you do a manual check for updates OR the periodic check for updates is executed in the background (the frequency of this check is set under notifications). In both cases the status of the plugins is compared to the latest check run and any available updates are shown.

  8. Minor nit ==>  Just noticed that the "Status" column on the Plugins page is inconsistent in what it shows when there are no updates available ...  Some show "up-to-date"  and  others show  "no update"

No big deal of course, but consistency is always nice  :)

I believe that "up-to-date" is shown for plugins which are added as urls, and "no update" is used where there is no url (no online source).  For instance, my two plugins which have been added simply as local .plg files show "no update".

For me, only the unRAID OS and the Dynamix UI show as "no update", while the ones added via a URL show as "up-to-date".

Very interesting.  On mine the UnRAID OS shows "Up-to-Date" whereas the Dynamix UI shows "no updates" ... that's the inconsistency I noted when I posted about this.

It will show "up-to-date" for those plugins which have a URL reference to their release version. When such a reference is not present in the PLG file, it will show "no update" instead.

For the time being the reference for the Dynamix webGUI is taken out to prevent double announcement when a new unRAID version is available. In future this will get addressed.

  9. Odd, I can't change the number for Time on Battery.  Apply is greyed out and when I click Done, it takes me back to the main menu.  When I go back into the UPS Settings, the Apply is still greyed out.  If I enter in a diff number, the apply button is still greyed out.  Is this normal?

Apply is disabled until you make changes to the settings, it allows you to save them after you have changed them. Done returns to the previous page without saving.

  10. So I excluded all the drives except the one.

This doesn't sound right, it implies you are going to use only a single disk in your array for your shares. Usual approach is to have ALL included and NONE excluded, unless you have a very specific reason to exclude a drive.

It's odd, how come Apply is always greyed out.  You can only seem to click Done.  I noticed this on other items as well, such as the UPS settings.

The Apply button is disabled until a change in the settings is made, this will allow you to save the changes after you made them.

So, how does the mover know to copy the files from the Movies folder on the cache to the Movies folder on my data drive?

It will look at the name of the top folder (Movies) and uses the various rules that you have defined to determine where to place (move) the contents.

  11. Well done.

Suggestion: make the description a popup while hovering over the image, similar to what is done for status icons.

Thought about that, started doing it, then remembered that you can't hover over anything on a mobile device.  Hence the pop up.

Can you switch to "finger clicky" cursor when over the icon/image if there is a popup available? I found it entirely by accident. ;)

    URL or reference ?

On long term we can think of a desktop and mobile version (with automatic detection). It is something I am looking into for Dynamix.
