  1. According to the wiki on his github there's supposed to be a setting to enable port forwarding, but I can't find it. Do I need to press add variables? If so, which option do I choose then, label? Also, should I use Proton VPN's Netshield or built-in quad9?
  2. Hi guys, if this is the wrong thread i'm sorry but I don't know where I should post this since there's so many apps involved. My problem is that I am trying to import my movies and series into Radarr and Sonarr so they can in turn rename all folders and files and add subfolders (if this is even possible?) where needed. But when I try there is multiple yellow triangles where it says "existing" or "no match found". In Jellyfin there is also some movies and series that can't find metadata for the thumbnail or title which means Radarr and Sonarr can't successfully rename all files and folders correctly. There's also some series that has multiple series per episode. How do I fix this? I have followed Trash guides and this guide from flemming's blog
  3. When would it have done this? As I said before I have only tried to login into one user. What do you think made Windows to break the connection to the shares if this is the case?
  4. @Frank1940 Do you mean that I have to re-enter the credentials into credential manager every time I reboot my PC? Or what do you mean with "Windows will allow only one connection from a Windows client computer to any server"? I only have one PC connected to 1 user on my unraid server so I can't have exceeded some sort of limit
  5. @Frank1940 I did that and then I got it to work for a day (I hadn't rebooted the first time). But now when I shut the pc down during the night and started it the next day, the private share is inaccessible again. I'm going to try removing the credentials again and then re-enter them again and then reboot to see if it fixes it again. But I doubt it's going to be a long-term fix. Thx, i'm going to try this too
  6. @bagican is this better? How much would you say this will draw both with and without the HBA card and expander? @Kilrah i’m going to have more than three eventually, my whole build is optimized to be expandable so I can slowly add more drives up to 18 and also two more SSDs for another cache pool when I need it.
  7. This is my parts list, the plan is to slowly over time expand to 18 HDDs and 2 more SSDs and maybe an Intel NIC far in the future. How many watts will this take in the beginning vs when i'm done (without the NIC since I don't even know if I'll get one)
  8. @Wody Thx for tip. But I was more thinking if the expander card is plug n play or if that also needs to be flashed into IT mode or something?
  9. @Wody I have put together my build now and is very happy with it. All of this should just work right, or do I need to flash the expander to IT mode too?
  10. @Wody if I use this HBA card and an expander, can’t I use SFF 8087 cables to be able to use SATA drives? I’m aiming to use the drives in my list. If this is the case, I could technically use the 7 XL and fill out the drive cages as needed without the need for external devices?
  11. @Wody how does four SATA connectors result in 32TB + 18TB? Can the motherboard only support a limited amount of storage? If I understand it correctly, I will need a HBA card if I want larger storage no matter what. Also, both boards I have chosen have four M.2 slots in case I want to add a second cache pool in the future, which means some of the SATA connectors will get disabled as I add more drives which is why I am thinking of getting a HBA card Edit: I was thinking of a SAS shelf but I kind of want to avoid having a drive shelf because it will take so much space since I am going to live in a smaller apartment. But the define 7 XL is pretty big in itself which is why I am contemplating going with the R5 which is a bit smaller. If you have any opinions on this I would gladly hear them because I am having a very hard time choosing 😅
  12. If I go for this build, will I even need a HBA card since all the drives will be inside the case or will a SATA card suffice? but if I go for this build and then if I need extra drives I buy a drive shelf, is this when HBA cards is needed?
  13. Hi guys, I have been trying to troubleshoot for hours, searching Google, YouTube, etc. but I can’t get it to work. I have my share in unraid set to private and my user has read/write permissions, then I go to file explorer and see my unraid server called “Hemmaserver“ but when I click on it this error message pops up: “\\HEMMASERVER is not available. Maybe you don’t have permissions to use this resource. Ask the server’s administrator for help. Multiple simultaneous server connections or resources that are shared by the same user that uses more than one username are not allowed. Disconnect all previous connections to the server or the shared resources and try again.“ -Directly translated from Swedish to English as best I could. I am using the tailscale plugin in case that is important and I am using the latest windows 11 version and unraid version 6.12.9
