Unraid 7.1: 9070XT Won't Passthrough
for me this is working Unraid Kernel: "6.16.0-rc7-thor-Unraid+" linux bazzite vm kernel: 6.16.4 Q35-9.2 Multifunction: On Sound Card: AMD Navi 48 HDMI (this renamed from RX9070XT with the 6.16 kernel so I think it's working because of the new Kernel) Windows is still giving strange issues even with syslinux.cfg changes, leaving sound card unmounted, unbind gpu script on startup...

Unraid 7.1: 9070XT Won't Passthrough
Hi, got the same issue here. Updated to latest kernel version 6.14.6. Run the unbind, bind script and added tried multiple combinations in syslinux.cfg with e.g. "video=efifb:off" to block the unraid usage. On a fresh unraid boot the device is on D0 mode: cat /sys/bus/pci/devices/0000\:03\:00.0/power_state D0 The virtual machine with GPU 9070 XT passed through boots without issues the first time. But once I shut it down the graphic card goes into "D3cold" and the unraid system is instantly frozen. It can only be shutdowned by a hard reset. I wonder why it works for some people and for some don't. Anybody has an idea? Regards

OS: 7.0beta4 best practice storage/disk/cache configuration?
Hello Unraid Forum, my Unraid server runs as media and gaming machine. The goal is to have the most storage/redundancy/gaming performance as possible. Current setup: 4TB Parity with Array devices: 2x 2TB and 1x 4TB + zfs cache pool with: 3x m2 ssd. Currently it bothers me that all 3 of the array devices bring a new zfs pool with 3 mount points. And the caching system is annoying in my eyes with managing mover and bigger datasets in the cache. The best configuration that suits my case is from my thinking zfs: raid-z1 with L2ARC caching. So plan would be to replace the 2x 2TB with another 4TB so I got 3 of them and then put them to raid-z1 and use all ssd's as L2ARC. I would gain: much more read speeds on all shares? and loose: write speed on cache shares + ability to remove/add disks however I want? Everything is googled together. I am not an expert with managing/optimizing storage pools. Please let me know if my plans are crap or maybe let me know what you peoples are using. 🤔 Regards Ojun

Unraid Docker/VM not starting. User Directory missing?
Ok so I tried docker always after starting the Array. Maybe I took the diagnostics when it was not started. But as @JorgeB wrote the problem with the docker/vm startup was related to not format the usb drive in array. So I have choosen now a different USB drive for my Array with 64 instead of 16GB. Since that the connection refused error is also gone. Don't know if this is related. FYI I wanted to use the USB because as normal storage I wanted to have a ZFS pool. And I read in the forum it is required to have at least 1 drive to the array assigned. Thank you for your help guys!

Unraid Docker/VM not starting. User Directory missing?
thank you... my mistake I didn't saw the error on array page and in the log I thought the disk that was mentioned is something different not used by unraid. But now it makes that he stores the images onto the pool. EDIT: somehow the website is now periodically offline and saying connection refused but then again working flawlessly some minutes. Will investitage on ir. Or does anyone have a solution for this? Tried installing the unraid connect plugin/disabling/enabling ssl...

Unraid Docker/VM not starting. User Directory missing?
Hello Unraid Forum, I am confused. I have tried Unraid in the past before and everything worked flawlessly with this setup. Now since I found out that moonlight/sunhine works very well in my scenario I wanted to give migrating to a windows vm again a try. Now I am following the installation guide and turn on virtualization, disable fast boot... Unraid starts I create an Array and start it. After that either vm/docker is starting. The installation is completely fresh. No plugins no configurations... I am using a second usb drive to create the array. I tried multiple fixes now with recreating docker image, setting path in config/domain.cfg file (which was empty)... root@unraid:~# ls -lsah /mnt/ /bin/ls: /mnt/user: No such file or directory /bin/ls: /mnt/user0: No such file or directory total 0 0 drwxr-xr-x 4 root root 80 Mar 22 05:16 ./ 0 drwxr-xr-x 20 root root 420 Mar 22 05:27 ../ 0 d--------- 1 root root 0 Dec 31 1969 user/ 0 d--------- 1 root root 0 Dec 31 1969 user0/ root@unraid:~# Can anybody of you help me I am not finding anything in the logs or I am looking on the wrong places... Thank you in advance! Regards unraid-diagnostics-20240322-1327.zip
