  1. Hello, I am currently using Unraid with a Ryzen 5 5500GT and Asrock B550M Pro4 combo, along with three 18TB HDDs. When idle, my system consumes 20W of power. I think this is already quite low, but I still want to upgrade for two reasons: I need 10Gbps networking, and I need ECC RAM (because I’m using ZFS). When I tested an X540-T2 NIC, the system’s power consumption increased to 28-29W, so I’m looking for a better combination. From my research, compared to AMD systems, Intel have significantly better idle power consumption (around 5W-7W). However, to support ECC RAM, I would need to buy a Xeon chip and a server motherboard, which are quite expensive. Even used boards start at around $300, so I’m leaning toward sticking with AMD. If possible, I’d like to switch to an Intel system for QuickSync, but with my limited budget, ECC is more important, and I don’t watch movies too often. Below is my research. If anyone has suggestions for hardware (a low-idle 10Gbps NIC, an affordable Xeon combo, or an AMD CPU + motherboard with low idle power), please let me know. I found some online posts where people have built fairly power-efficient AMD systems. Post 1: This person’s system has two 10Gbps NICs and only consumes 22W when idle, which is quite good. However, they don’t use HDDs, so I think this is expected. (I believe an Intel system without HDDs could idle even lower.) I checked the NIC they used, but there isn’t much information about it, so I’m not sure how the Marvell AQC113 chip compares to the X710. I’m curious about how much their system idles at without the NICs and adapter cards—if it’s 10W, that would be really impressive. https://www.reddit.com/r/homelab/comments/1l2mkqb/budget_10gbe_6bay_nvme_nas_with_ecc_memory/?chainedPosts=t3_18lyk9e Post 2: In the comments, someone mentioned they successfully built an AMD system with a 9W idle power consumption, but they didn’t specify the configuration. Another person shared their setup, which idles at 44W with eight WD 16TB HDDs. They mentioned that the Ryzen 7 PRO 5750GE chip is excellent for low-idle systems because it’s a laptop chip and doesn’t consume much power. https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=38823514 Let me know if you need further assistance or suggestions based on this information!
  2. I found the solution, just change the IP of Unraid server and tthe problem is gone
  3. Oh thanks. I have been trying so many tweaks like reloading nginx or disable plugin, nothing changed
  4. I have just updated the OS the see if its fixed, after rebooted I could access my server, and after a while I could not access it, and then wait for a few minutes I could access it again. I dont know what's wrong with my server, maybe my network problem?
  5. I got the log when I could not access Web UI/SMB. It said "ACPI action up is not defined"
  6. Yes, syslog is being saved to my system share. I dont know why but now I can access to Unraid properly. I did not change anything in config
  7. Jul 5 20:08:35 ZunServer nginx: 2025/07/05 20:08:35 [error] 7975#7975: *127154 open() "/usr/local/emhttp/webGui/javascript/ace/mode-log.js" failed (2: No such file or directory) while sending to client, client: 192.168.10.114, server: , request: "GET /webGui/javascript/ace/mode-log.js HTTP/1.1", host: "192.168.10.103", referrer: "http://192.168.10.103/Shares/Browse?dir=/mnt/user/system" Hey i got the error. It said that there is no mode-log.js file. Do i need to re-install something?
  8. Oh i got it. Thanks. I'll be back after the problem happen again
  9. I already enable it, and the problem is happening right now. I'm sorry if I'm wrong but there is no new log generated when I could not access to Unraid via web browser My Unraid has 2 NICs One is 10.10.66.88 which i dont use very often, it just a NIC to connect Unraid directly to my Mac when i need to do 10Gbps highspeed task Another is 192.168.10.103, which is connected to my router, and this is where the problem is. I could not access to my server by this IP, either web browser or SMB zunserver-syslog-20250705-1035.zip
  10. Right after a reboot, I can access the Unraid server without any issues, then wait about 15 minutes later it becomes inaccessible again. I tried several reboot and it's all the same. Right now i can not access my Unraid.
  11. Hi everyone, I’m experiencing a strange issue with my Unraid server. A few weeks ago it was running flawlessly, but after a recent reboot I ran into the following problem: Immediately after reboot, I can access the Web UI (via browser) and my network shares from my MacBook without any issues. About 15 minutes or somthing later, nothing changes on the server, yet I can no longer access the Web UI or network shares. When I enter the server’s static IP in my browser, I only get a plain “200 OK” response, no UI (picture below) and unable to access network shares. I can still ping the server IP successfully, and all services appear to be running normally on the server itself. Has anyone seen a behavior like this or can suggest what might be causing my Unraid server to become inaccessible on the LAN after it has been idle for a short time? Any pointers on logs to check or settings to adjust would be greatly appreciated! zunserver-diagnostics-20250705-1304.zip
  12. My crontab looks like this But when i checked logs for disk spin up time, it were always at 00:45, 08:55, 16:50 and 21:25, so i dont think its related to cron job. btw, my log looks like this, so i don't know exactly what is being written or read. A quick update on 23th and 24th. I tried these commands(via chatgpt recommendation), i logged off my browser and then the pool is not waken up anymore. I will be looking up for more detailed informations about effects of these command on the pool.
  13. i have the same issue while my zfs pool (with 3 HDDs) is waken up at the same time everyday. i dont know what process is doing it, but it is so frustrating.
  14. I had the same problem. I tried with Rclone by Waseh (a plugin, not a docker container) and it worked
  15. Hi, could someone please tell me how can i do Asrock guide for hidden BIOS settings on Unraid?? The post said that it needed to be done in Window, i tried to run it in Window VM but it didn't work.
