Capacity and Size not matching
So weird, as I did reformat them before I put them in the array (they were for a Mac, so I reformatted to exFAT). I suppose all I did was wipe the one partition of files and not completely rebuild the drive, which eliminates any separate partitions. Eitehr way, I'm so new to UnRaid, how do I reformat the drive? When I put them in the array my understanding was it reformatted them then? I imagine I first use unbalance and scatter all the files off it first to make sure I don't lose any data?

Capacity and Size not matching
Thanks, I ran the diagnostics - I'm assuming you want the info for "vars.txt" on the two drives? From what I can see, while it sees they are 14TB (ST14000), the size is only 12TB? The weird thing is that before I put them in the NAS I wiped them of all their data and there was definitely 14TB of free space. Capacity and Size not matching
I'm unsure if I'm doing something wrong or how to fix this, but I'm brand new to NAS and Unraid, so I thought I'd ask! I set this array up with 2x12TB drives, 3x14TB drives, and 4x16TB drives. 2 of the 16TB are parity. My question is - why do disks 1 & 2 show only 12TB of space when they are 14TB drives? I set them all up at the same time, and the 2x16TB and 1x14TB show their capacity, but not the other 2 14TB. Any idea how this happened and how do I fix it? Thanks!

Building first NAS media server help!
Hey everyone, I'm building my first NAS media server after 15 years of running it off a Mac Mini and external hard drives... It's just not cutting it anymore, so I was recommended to use UnRaid. I first tried to mod a Terramaster T9-450, so I've become familiar now with UnRaid and love it! However, the processor isn't cutting it for any transcoding, and it's soldered onto the motherboard. I think my only option is going to be DIYing it and building the system, but I'm new to this, so I would love some help/advice. My needs for the system: Can run UnRaid Intel Processor (one with a dedicated integrated GPU that can handle multiple transcodings at once) 2.5 GB Ethernet (don’t really need 10 as that speed doesn't exist in our area at all anyways) At least 8 Drive Bays (12+ would be ideal - currently have 60TB of data and will need room to grow) Upgradable options for the future Would be nice to have USB-C Here’s what I’m thinking in my build: Processor - Intel icore i7-13700K or Intel Core i5-14600K (if the board takes 14th Gen) Motherboard - This is where I need the most help. - Q670 maybe? Case - Jonsbo N5 RAM - can choose between DDR4 and DDR5 when I know the motherboard, but thinking 32GB, maybe 64GB (might be overkill). I don’t think I care if it’s ECC? Fans - Noctura Fan NF-P12 CPU cooler - Noctua NH-U12S Hard Drives - Already have 10 hard drives to use from the old system (12-16TB range) Power - Not sure, but maybe Corsair SF750? From what I calculate, the system will use about 550W, so a 600W would be perfect, but this 750W one has great reviews. OTHER M.2 to SATA Expansion OR PCie to SATA expansion, or SFF-8643 depending on the board… need another way to connect that many hard drives as no motherboard is going to have 12 SATA connections. Some SATA cables top connect. I imagine some cables/adaptors to power to the hard drives Any help would be appreciated!

[PLUGIN] Disk Location
Hey everyone, maybe I'm missing something, but I can't seem to get this plugin to work. Every time I try to assign a location for a drive and try to save I just get this black screen that does nothing. Then when I reload or go back into tools it hasn't saved the location. I've wiped and reinstalled twice, but it's still the same thing. Am I missing something or is this a bug? Any help would be great! Thanks!
