Here is the problem I can't find an answer to. I have a very large music folder. I ran the program, detox, on it hoping it would remove characters like this (example... �j�) from my file names. It went through and changed all spaces to underscores on all files and folders. There has got to be a command I can run to remove the underscores and replace them with spaces. I've looked and everything I have tried has failed. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Is there anyway to get the data off the drive using UnBalance?

Yes, There was nothing in the settings or plugins tab for it. I just tried reinstalling it and uninstalling it just to make sure it was removed. Not sure if that helped or possibly made things worse.

Attached find my Diagnostics file. I can't seem to figure out what drive is causing things to go into read-only. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. All drives say "Read Only Mode. Restore normal settings via <a href='/Settings/Ransomware'>Ransomware Protection Settings</a>" But this plugin has been removed for years. tower-diagnostics-20210204-1025.zip

If anyone else was having the same problem, turns out one of my drives was placed in Read-Only mode because of an error. Once fixed the program returned to normal operation. Thanks again for a great program.

This is a wonderful project and I have been using it to convert all my files for the last few months. A few weeks ago, the converted files will no longer move and replace the original files. I have redone permissions. I cleared out the database file. I emptied the cache/conversion folder. I delete that folder and created a new folder. Tried pointing the Library only to certain folders. Adjusted settings in within the docker. I'm lost. It worked so well for so long and I don't know what happened. What do I need to provide for any assistance?

I had a Full Slackware 13.37 installation running for a few years now. The system drive went and I needed to rebuild. I had the wise idea to take the opportunity to update my Unraid version (prior version 5.0rc5) to the latest 5.0.4 version. I followed the method of formatting the USB and then copying back over my config directory. The new Thumb drive booted and worked just fine. Onto Slackware, I downloaded the 14.0 iso and began following the directions here (http://lime-technology.com/wiki/index.php/Installing_unRAID_5.0_on_a_full_Slackware_Distro). Directions followed to a tee, minus the kernel. I downloaded the 3.9.11 linux kernel since this is what 5.0.4 appears to be using. (I could be very wrong in my doing this) Onto the problems. Go file, does not run on startup. When I manually Run emhttp -p 88 it will run on the server itself, it runs, shows a bunch of php errors but it runs if I open a browser I can see the unRaid interface but none of my shares or drives are showing up. (This doesn't happen all the time) On another install attempt the shares and drives show up but I couldn't access them via a network connection. SMB, AFT and NFS were blocked and I couldn't access the user shares. If anyone is willing to help me out. Please point me to what information you would need to help me figure out what I did wrong.

Mainly for the learning experience. I was also reading about automating conversions DTS2AC3 and MKV files. I know most of this can be done on the standard install of UnRAID but I really enjoy learning new things. So Far I am quiet happy with doing it. I installed Dropbox and Google Music Manager last night. Now my Music folder on the server syncs with Google Play without having to go through my network first. This may of been easy to do on a standard install but....again, just wanted to learn something new. Each night I'm finding more out just by thinking "I want to do this" and I jump on Google and start researching.

For fun I did the full install of Slackware 13.37 and merged it with 5.0rc5 by following the online wiki. It took this noob to Unix about 2 days to finally get everything to play nice and to boot up. It was a great learning experience to say the least... Now, what can I do with it? Any tips, tricks and what I should do. Thanks for any suggestions.

Is there a way to install this script https://github.com/JakeWharton/mkvdts2ac3 on my Unraid (Not Unix Savvy) and if so can it be set up to monitor my media folder so if a MKV file with DTS is added it will convert the audio to AC3? Just curious.

I have it running now. The sdc was the cache drive. I'll give feedback when this is complete.

I did that with the Go file, Thanks for the suggestion. In fact I replaced everything but my drives and share information and started from scratch. The same thing happened. Couldn't connect via the network and it would crash the system. I then ran reiserfs on disk 1 and disk 2. Disk 2 had no problems. Disk 1 was messed up and was told to do the --rebuild-tree. Ran that and rebooted afterwards. I can now access over the network. Now, one folder on my main share is not showing up. Via telent I can see the folder but I get a Permission denied when trying to "cd" into it. I brought up my monitor on the unraid and I'm seeing this on the screen. REISERFS error (device sdc1): vs-5150 search_by_key: invalid format found in the biock 32777. Fsck? REISERFS error (device sdc1) : vs-13070 reiserfs_read_locked_imode: i/o failure occurred trying to find stat of [2 520 0x0 SD] When I try to access the share via the UnRaid menu I see almost all the directories except for our main folder. I also see this error on the screen above all the directories. Running 5.0 RC3

I tried saving a syslog but it happens so fast I can't get the command in in time. We added 4 new drives and upgraded to Pro. Everything was running fine when one of the older drives became red. I replaced the drive and let it rebuild. Since the rebuild the system crashes when ever anyone on the netwrok tries to connect to it. As I said, I don't have a syslog but I did take a shot of the screen that appears on the UnRaid right after the crash. I am hoping this will suffice for some type of information on how to resolve this issue. Thanks

This may be a very stupid question and I'm sure it is. I have a license for Twonky. Installed via the instructions in this thread but the problem is...When the server reboots I have to re-enter the registration number and any settings I had changed. I know there is a way of dumping this information from RAM onto the flash drive for the reboot...I can't find it. Any help? Or do I just have to just have to keep entering it with every reboot? Thanks
