  1. thanks for checking. I see the following error in my log: 2016-03-14 01:01:16,180::ERROR::[config:842] Cannot create backup file for /config/sabnzbd.ini.bak 2016-03-14 01:01:16,181::INFO::[config:843] Traceback: Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/share/sabnzbdplus/sabnzbd/config.py", line 839, in save_config shutil.copymode(filename, bakname) File "/usr/lib/python2.7/shutil.py", line 91, in copymode os.chmod(dst, mode) OSError: [Errno 1] Operation not permitted: '/config/sabnzbd.ini.bak' Any suggestions perhaps?
  2. Hello, tried installing today but I always get the wizard again. I tried changing the config folder and the port but same results, also tried a complete re-install of the docker container. I took a look in my sabnzbd.ini file contents: __version__=19 [misc] [logging] its always the same as sabnzbd.ini.bak Is this file not properly written to on a complete new install? Maybe when coming from auto upgrades, this problem is not present?
  3. Got 99% of my files back, took a bit of time sorting thru weird folder names after the recovery, 120 mkv files were verified (torrent) and in working order. For some reason the flaky disk gave me option to format, been 3 years since my last disk failure, was rusty and confused with the process. Thanks for the help and suggestions
  4. Running Unraid 5.0.5 Disk18 was redballing, I tried to rebuild with the same disk, this failed, I think somewhere in the process it asked me to format a drive . can't remember new or old one. the rebuild failed on the old drive. After rebuild attempt with same old hdd I replaced the old hdd with a new one. Did a reiserfs check on the new drive, no reported errors. I also manually tried to mount new disk18, no files on the hdd Running testdisk on the old hdd can't find partition. Any suggestions? syslog-20150503-113740.zip
  5. Had some time and gave it another go after I saw the intel_iommu=on posted and the echo 1 > /sys/module/kvm/parameters/allow_unsafe_assigned_interrupts Clean new install, followed the steps to the letter. Still I get an error. When I boot my hdd from a pci card with intel_iommu=on added my system won't boot: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=605888 intel_iommu=on => No root device found So I switch my hdd to internal sata (which I don't want) but then the system boots. So atleast I can tell the intel_iommu=on option does something. I have a z77 extreme4 board and intel 3470T proc Vt-d passthrough works fine on xenserver! but can't get it to work on suse which is a shame. Any ideas to try? 6. A buyers question regarding choice of video card for XEN/KVM and media/game use. I want to buy a new video card, but I was wondering if someone can recommend 3 videocards (price category) that currently is nice for the following: - Good xen/kvm support (mostly ati?) - Good madvr support (mostly nvidia?) -cheap -middle -$$ Also, I will end up most likely using 2 SATA cards in both my PCIe 3.0 x16 slots, Is it possible to use a PCIe 2.0 x1 slot for a video card? with an adapter or crazy mod? Is there a better option? Supermicro SATA cards are x4 and x8 slots mostly. What is a good solution when having in mind 2x SATA card and a GPU? I use the Asrock z77 extreme4 board. thanks
  7. [*] [*] I tried Arch and Xenserver before, passthrough works fine on Xenserver, but have other issues. (xenserver is nice but can't do much else) Arch, I get stuck last step with bootloader install, before the reboot I do have /boot/grub folder but after I reboot I don't have a /boot/grub folder anymore (/boot folder is empty) can't update grub to see the Xen kernel, I think uefi is messing things up (altho as in the tutorial I don't choose an uefi bootloader). In both cases followed the tutorial to the finest 100% letter. I simply tried only to pass trough 1 sata card, as soon as I add a pci device it doesn't want to start gives that error. I have an asrock z77 extreme 4, no problems before with Xenserver. I'm not very experienced with Linux, but want to try Xen/KVM, I can't help to wonder tho, If more people choose this route and start using Arch Gentoo etc, and run Unraid as VM, how long would it take until for example a Linux update or software messes up their install, and people can't easily use their Unraid VM anymore. And yes people should just stick to bare Unraid if they want to be safe, but GPU passthrough is a really nice feature on powerful machines. I do would like to get Xen working, tried 7x Arch install, 1x Gentoo, Mint (no systemd ) is next. Also on Gentoo I don't have this folder /var/lib/libvirt/images I added the Unraid kvm from my download folder.
  8. I'm getting stuck in the last steps. I can load the unraid.kvm (it starts fine without pastrough) but when I add a pci sata controller and try to start again (after a shutdown) it gives an error. Error starting domain: internal error: process exited while connecting to monitor: char device redirected to /dev/pts/2 (label charserial0) qemu-system-x86_64: -device pci-assign,configfd=26,host=00:1a.0,id=hostdev0,bus=pci.0,addr=0x9: PCI region 0 at address 0xf7c18000 has size 0x400, which is not a multiple of 4K. You might experience some performance hit due to that. qemu-system-x86_64: -device pci-assign,configfd=26,host=00:1a.0,id=hostdev0,bus=pci.0,addr=0x9: No IOMMU found. Any idea?
  9. Does one need a second dedicated GPU for passthru? Or is it also possible to passthru a IGP? say for example a hd2500? I don't mind running my xenserver headless. But would like to give my win7 vm access to the hd2500. I tried, but I get a nice blue screen
  10. Thanks for the plug-in, I have a small question. I initially setup/add my VM's using Simplefeature with the SF Webserver and PHPvirtualbox. My VM's then show up on the webgui so I'm able to happily start them from there and don't need SF+Webserver and PHPvirtualbox anymore. However after I removed SF+Webserver plugin and PHPvirtualbox I get an error when I click "Start VM" button using the plug-in GUI. When I use command line to manually start the VM using: VBoxManage startvm "vmname" in telnet I also get the error. However..when I start with: VBoxManage startvm "vmname" --type headless All is well. My question is: How can I edit the "Start VM" button behavior so it uses the --type headless option. SF doesn't run good on v5 final and I simply don't prefer to use SF just to use VB. I'm not sure but I think --type headless option can always be used in any case running VB on unraid. so maybe it can be standard implemented. And maybe a button can be added: (Start VM ignore State) VBoxManage discardstate "vmname" + VBoxManage startvm "vmname" --type headless Thanks
  11. Thank you!! running latest VB v5 plugin 0.5.2, VB 4.2.18 I couldn't install win7 and stopping existing Machines always made them "stuck/hang" I got an error: ERROR [COM]: aRC=E_ACCESSDENIED (0x80070005) and give an kernal message. Changing the sata controller to an ide controller solved my problems, thanks for the suggestion Now I'm just hoping for a web server plugin for the stock new webgui of unraid v5 final
  12. Great to hear, looking forward to an updated package good luck with the renovation
  13. Can someone maybe compile and post a new version v0.8 of ffmpeg to use with subsonic. If possible without dependencies and most libraries build in? I want to transcode all available mkv video files I have. Thanks
  14. Is it possible to update Transmission to a newer version? for example 2.31? http://repository.slacky.eu/slackware-13.37/network/transmission/
