  1. all this was covered earlier http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=33341.msg391044#msg391044 See a couple of posts down for fixes. Easiest thing is to change your indexers in Sickbeard or wherever they're used to use http instead of https or downgrade until SAB 8 comes out. /usr/local/Sickbeard/sickbeard.py /usr/local/Sabnzbd/sabnzbd.py Are both files for those programs not for PhAzE's plugins. If he codes something to automatically make the changes you want he's changing how actual SAB and SB operate. Aside from the obivous need of the main programs to remain untouched it could break something later when they update. I seem to still be having the same problem. I am using both SAB and SB (newest plugins) and have added the required lines in /usr/local/Sickbeard/sickbeard.py and /usr/local/Sabnzbd/sabnzbd.py Any other suggestions? Is it possible to just install an older version of python (which one would still be compatible, and does anyone have a link, have had a hard time finding them). Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  2. I think you may have misunderstood. It is just copying to disk1, and once disk1 was full, to rsync failed to continue (ie out of space), rather than distributing the files over the array (user share).
  3. Yes, that is the information that I used. I have however run into a problem. This is the command that I was using: rsync -av --stats --progress /mnt/user/TV rsync://192.168.1.70/mnt/user/TV What has happened is that it was just filling up one hard drive. It has run out of space, and thus failed without finishing the sync. Any suggestions to solve this? For the time being I can just transfer the rest of this user share to another disk via drag and drop, but I have another 4TB to copy over and this is going to happen again halfway through that. EDIT: Via drag and drop through a client computer, I can get about the same transfer speed (one mounted via AFP (source), the other via SMB (destination)).
  4. so yeah, obviously I am not 100% awake yet. I had gone through installing SSL and SSH on one of the servers when I set it up, but didn't on the other. Did that through unmenu and all is good. I am, however only getting about 10MB/s EDIT: did a little more digging and found some posts that I did not before (with thanks for lainie for mentioning rsync). I followed teamhood's instructions on this thread: http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=13432.15 with the only changes being that I was going to user shares and not disks. Had the -z option in there to start and was still getting 10MB/s, took that out and I am going along at about 35-40MB/s right now. So that should take me about a day and a half to transfer everything over. Not bad!
  5. tried that with user shares and ran into this: Linux 3.0.35-unRAID. root@Tower:~# rsync -avz /mnt/user/Data [email protected]:/mnt/user/Data rsync: Failed to exec ssh: No such file or directory (2) rsync error: error in IPC code (code 14) at pipe.c(84) [sender=3.0.7] rsync: writefd_unbuffered failed to write 4 bytes to socket [sender]: Broken pipe (32) rsync error: error in IPC code (code 14) at io.c(1530) [sender=3.0.7] root@Tower:~#
  6. Just bumping this up, unfortunately I need to have this all completed and transfered by the end of the upcoming weekend, I also tried this method: http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=5045.msg47257#msg47257 however a user share from UNRAID1 unmounted almost immediately, process failed, and then had to repair permissions in order to get the user share the work again.
  7. I can't seem to find a simple clear explaination of this, so I am starting a new thread about it. (please forgive me if there are in fact threads about this, I searched but could not find). I have two unraid servers. UNRAID1 has all the data on it. UNRAID2 has nothing on it (new build, just precleared drives). I need to copy a couple of the shares from UNRAID1 to UNRAID2 and would like to not do it with a client in between. I came across this thread: http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=18799.0 for mounting one server on the other and using midnight commander, however I don't fully understand it, and would like to mount it as NFS for potential speed gain (I have about 6TB to transfer). If someone could please explain how to properly mount the one server to the other, I would greatly appreciate it. I also have no idea how to use MC, but I can look into that while I wait. Running unraid 4.7 on one (UNRAID2) and unraid 5.0RC6? (most recent) on the other (UNRAID1). Thanks. Update: not solved, see last post...
  8. does the X7DBE-X support hardware passthrough for esxi ( that would work with unraid)? I have the AMD version, but could always use another one for this price that does esxi. Thanks
  9. Newegg has some SUPERMICRO AOC-SAT2-MV8 (OPEN BOX). Not sure if this is new or not, but thought I would post it for anyone that needs some. Need one myself, but my wife says I can't buy any more parts now ... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16815121009R
  10. Best option would be if someone has a Socket F (1207) HSF that screws down to the backplate. SECOND best would be if someone has a set of BKT-0012L brackets. (Need a set for a socket F motherboard so attach a non-proprietary HSF.) If anyone has either of the above, let me know. Thanks! edited in hopes that someone has the first ...
  11. *cough* ESXi */cough* May be an option, thought I read somewhere on here though that this hardware config would not allow hardware passthrough. So even using a ESXi install I wouldn't be able to virtualize Unraid. That's what I was just about to post. If someone can prove that wrong, I would be VERY happy. http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=18610.msg171994#msg171994
  12. Looks like the seller of the sold out AMD 6 core's (2419) has some more listed. http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-AMD-Opteron-2419-1-8ghz-6-core-processor-OS2419WJS6DGN-/261046796284 Just wondering if there are any other (better) processors that would suit this that are also a decent price. I know, I know, the price is great and it is overkill for a server, I am just wondering. In other news, I happened to call Tams at just the right time and snagged an AMD server. No, there are no more, they may get some more in the future, just have the 2.0 Xeon's last time I called. Hope everything works out.
  13. This looks like an amazing deal, but ... any reason I wouldn't want to get a couple of these? I need to build a server for my sister for all of her work, and another for the house, but don't want to get something that is going to be problematic. I can't find much of anything on the forum about the motherboard, but the CPU, RAM, and the controller cards do not seem to be an issue. Any info would be much appreciated (sorry for the newb question...)
  14. They seem to either be very similar or the same (if not, I can modify as needed to make it work for now). Please send me an email and we can arrange something. Thank you very much.
  15. I need another cage for a small tower build (Antec 900). Need to add just a few more drives for now until I throw in some 5in3 cages, and was wondering if anyone had a spare one of these cages around. (Antec is out of stock) http://store.antec.com/Product/accessory-spare_parts/nine-hundred-drive-cage-with/0-761345-30044-5.aspx please email me benyaki @ gmail dot com
  16. If someone has a look at this and can let me know if anything is wrong with the S3 script or implementation, that would be great. I would like to save some power by having this sleep when not in use.
  17. line added to go script directly after last line in go script "/boot/custom/bin/s3.sh" and the script in the appropriate folder (attached as a .txt, will not let me attach a sh file) s3.txt
  18. Tried with parallels but no go. While thinking about what had changed within the last week, I focused in on the S3 script that I added. Didn't think much about it at first, but when I start up the server, as soon as SAMBA starts (hooked up to monitor, watching it load) I can access the share. Then as soon as packages are done installing and the sleep script starts counting, it does not return a login line or anything like that, the last line just says "COUNT 15" until the drives are spun up, then down, and then it repeats (the 15 minutes after idle it is set to go to sleep. So I just removed the script, the line from the go script, and everything seems to be working OK now. I really don't understand WHY ... but I guess unless someone has an idea, I am going to say this was the problem and I will have to do without sleep. I will update this in a day or so, but I would say this is tentatively solved.
  19. In console on both machine that have tried to access the server, there is nothing in console aside from one machine reporting unable to backup time machine (because the drive is currently powered down) and the other with some gfxcardstatus reports of switching to the GPU, nothing is out of place. I am at work now and cannot seem to VNC back to my mini at home (was installing updates just before I left) so I will get another syslog this evening. Thanks
  20. That log was made after it started happening (made this morning after it could not connect). I was initially able to access the share (but just did not mount it) on one of my macs. Then from another one of them, it just kept waiting for the connection from the server. I will do again what you have asked and post it (will be a hour or so at the earliest). Thanks
  21. I have been running this server for a month or so now with no problems. I have just 6 drives in it now, running version 4.7. Just yesterday the SMB shares started to be unreachable. I only have macs in the house, and connecting to them does not error out, it just keeps searching and searching. I am running a few packages and scripts. Most recently added (less than a week ago) was a S3 sleep script (from the forum). Added line to go script. Also running UPS package for APC UPS. Have had no problems with that. Tried setting up airvideo a week or two ago to no avail, gave up and removed anything that was added to the USB stick. I ran checkdisk on the USB stick today (through parallels desktop on a mac). I have run memtest overnight (14+ hours) with 9 or 10 passes and no errors. This morning I recopied bzimage and bzroot to the drive to make sure they were not corrupt and the problem persists. The server is setup with a static IP from day 1 with no problems. I was briefly able to connect to the SMB share this morning RIGHT after booting, but within a few seconds it was again not connecting on the same computer and another mac. I would appreciate any help with this. I am quite new to unraid but have been reaching as much as possible and have not found a solution to this on the forums (what has worked for other so far has not worked for me). If there is any required information that was not included, please let me know. Motherboard: MSI 880GMA-E53 CPU: Sempron 140 (downclocked to 800Mhz) PSU: Corsair 650W TX V2 RAM: Kingston ValueRAM (KVR1333D3N9/2G) USB: Lexar firefly 4GB Syslog Attached. syslog.txt
  22. I am hoping to start a build within the next few weeks. I am just wondering if there would be any problems with the board: http://ncix.com/products/?sku=37088&vpn=790FX-GD70&manufacture=MSI%2FMicroStar The only info that I can find on the chipsets on the hardware compatibility page is that the lan controller (8111DL) works fine. Nothing about the north/southbridge chipsets. It seems to be a decent price for a board with 4 PCI-E slots for expandibility (8 SATA cards). I was planning on just using a Sempron 140 CPU, however I cannot find if this board would support that or not. Anyone? Sorry for the newbie questions ... I am trying to read as much as possible on the forums. Thanks.
  23. i hope this isnt the wrong are for my first post ....but am i correct in saying you could fir 20 drives in that with some 5-in-3's? (but are there any less than $100 each? otherwise a 4220 seems more economical [and uglier]).
