  1. Actually I think it means my USB drive is too small for the update. I've only been using a 1GB drive since I created this server 6-7 years ago. I'm going to buy a 16GB tomorrow and copy over the 1GB to the new one and retry the OS update.
  2. Going through the "tools" and "update OS" section of the Unraid menu. This is what it tells me when trying to download and install 6.12.5 or the most recent 6.12.6.
  3. I'm unable to install the most recent OS or previous release, I'm assuming it's because I"m on such an old version. How do I upgrade? Was trying to find a link to 6.12.0 or something to get me close but unable to find older version of the OS on the website.
  4. Great information! Thanks for everyone's help and suggestions!
  5. I recently moved and my current house is no longer hard wired with ethernet ports. I needed to move my unRaid server into a separate office in the house in an area that the hard line for the internet does not come into. I had an older ASUS RT-AC68U that I decided to setup in bridge mode and connect to my server to see if it would work, VERY novice network guy here. It seems to work great after hooking it up to the bridge mode router, Speeds seem great. Anyways here are my questions. 1.) I'm having issues with accessing my Plex server now. If I go into the docker and pull up the webgui it will say either that i'm not authorized to access the server or unRaid is currently unavailable. Now, I can access the server just fine from my laptop and I can send/receive files without issue from my unRaid server. So I know the server is working just fine on that end regarding filesharing. Any suggestions on this? Should I delete and re-install the plex docker? 2.) I don't know much about networking or router setup. I followed the ASUS instructions when setting up the router in bridge mode. Is there any special settings that should or should not be enabled since doing this? One thing I did notice is that even though the server is working, I don't see it or the bridged router on the connected device list of my main router (ASUS AX11000). I was thinking maybe the IP is causing conflicts but unsure how to even find the IP or what would even need to be changed to get plex working again. Any suggestions on this? Thanks for the help.
  6. I'm having some issues that I can't seem to figure out. Long story short, I recently moved and the place on where my WIFI router is can't support my unRaid server. With that being said I had to move the server into a different room down the hallway which does NOT have hardwired ethernet access. To remedy this problem or the hopes off I purchased another router to try and setup as bridge and connect my unRaid server to it. I'm using a ASUS GT-AX11000 as my actual WIFI home router and setup a ASUS RT-AC68U as a bridge and connected it to the 2nd 5Ghz channel as a dedicated. I really don't know anything about networking however after watching a few videos I believe I have it setup and working. The RT-AC68U and the unRaid server are positioned in another room down the hallway and it seems the unRaid server is connected to the network as I can transfer and receive files off the unRaid server without issue. Speeds are excellent and seems good. However, I no longer can access Plex on the unRaid server. I can access the unRaid webgui and when I try to get into the Plex webgui I get the messages shown in the attached pictures. I will either get that I'm not authorized to access the server or it says the server is unreachable. I'm not sure what's going on here, Does anyone have any suggestions??
  7. Thanks, Was able to try some of the suggestions, This seemed to fix it from your post: Regedit Path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanWorkstation\Parameters Double-click AllowInsecureGuestAuth and change "Value data" from 0 to 1
  8. Got a new computer a few days ago and now I can no longer access my unraid server via going into folders/network as I could with my old one. This new computer see's my unraid server in the "network" section I just can't connect (attached screen shot). This computer has Windows 10 Pro on it and I read something about needing to enable SMB 1.0 which I did watching a video on Youtube. They also talked about mapping the drives and showed how to do that as well if your having issues with accessing via network, Needless to say that doesn't work either. I included a screen shot on what it says when trying to map the drive. I do not know much about networking, Does anyone have an suggestions? I use my server everyday and not being able to transfer files from my computer to the server via my network is a huge issue.
  9. The SATA card is not the issue. Reason being, This HDD was on a MB SATA port when this started. I switched ports on the MB with a different drive that was not having this issue. Needless to say, Same problem. Then I connected it to the SATA card, Same problem. That card has 6 other drives on it, None have had any issues. I don't get it.
  10. This is the third HDD in my disk 2 spot I've used in the last 6 months. They all keep throwing errors and then start getting disabled by unraid after a short period of time . The last 2 drives have been brand new that I installed and rebuilt. I have switched SATA cables, I've switched SATA ports and I've also put a different power cable on the drive as well from the drive before it on the modular supply. Nothing seems to stop this, Anyone have any ideas? unraid-diagnostics-20210109-0939.zip
  11. Yes, I have 6 HDD's on the Marvel card. Never had any issues with it. The drive that's giving me problems was plugged into the MB, Not sure what chipset is uses however. I switched it over to the SATA controller card and haven't seemed to have any issues the last few days.
  12. I did replace the SATA cable when I replaced the drive the third time. I also switched SATA ports wondering if that might not be a possible problem as well. The only thing not changed was the power cable as I only have 1 modular cable, I guess I could put it on one of the other connectors to a different drive. Is there anyway to see if this is the actual issue or is it more or less swap a cable and see what happens type of troubleshooting? Also, I do have a Marvel SATA card controller in the system, Which I know some people have had issues with. I've had mine in my system for almost 6 years and have never had an issue with it on any of the 6 drives currently connected to it. When I switched SATA ports, I took that drive off the MB SATA port and plugged it into the SATA card.
  13. Over the last 3 months, I have swapped out my disk 2 HDD a total of (3) times. The first drive was older and I believe was beginning to fail. It was throwing errors and unraid was disabling the HDD. I purchased a brand new drive, It lasted about 2 months and began the same deal. I sent it off for warranty replacement. I then purchased yet ANOTHER new drive. It's been in the array for about 3 weeks and now it's throwing errors. WTF is going on? Is it possible to find out what might be causing the drive to throw errors? This third drive has not been disabled yet by unraid but it showing array errors. I would imagine it's only a matter of time. Also, Everytime a rebuild of the drive seemed to be successful when it was replaced the last two times. I also run a parity check usually every few months on my system. unraid-diagnostics-20210103-1521.zip
  14. It won't run a SMART test, It says it's disabled??
  15. About 4 months ago my Disk 2 began to fail so I purchased a new drive. Has worked without issue up until about 2 weeks ago when I noticed the drive was disabled in the webgui. I removed from array and then put back into array so the server could rebuild the drive. Everything seemed to be fine until a few days ago when this happened again. Is the drive failing already? Not sure what to look for or if there is a issue with something else. Any help is appreciated. unraid-smart-20201215-2031.zip unraid-diagnostics-20201215-2008.zip
  16. It finally worked, But locked up the server for some reason. I believe I have the log now. Thanks
  17. I'm having issues with a hard drive that I was going to post about here. I noticed reading the support topic to get a diagnostic log from the system. However, I have tried to get one two times now and after clicking download it says please wait collecting information this may take several minutes. The first time I waited almost 2 hours and nothing downloaded, However the little lines are still moving on the page. So I tried again, I'm now at 3 hours and still nothing. The thing says might take several minutes, Does this mean hours? Is something wrong with this?
  18. This worked, Back to normal operation. Thanks
  19. Oh and also to answer your other question, No I don't have any other backup of this data. Considering it's almost 34 TB. I mean it's nothing I can't live without, I just would "prefer" not too considering the amount of time to get all this data back.
  20. I have done this with the new hard drive and started the array in normal mode. It is now doing another parity/data rebuild when I started the array. It does however appear to show the free & allocated size of disk 2 when before it showed unmountable during this process. I'm assuming that after the sync/rebuild I should be good to go? This will take about 21 hours based upon the one that ran yesterday and today.
  21. Here is what running the file system thing says on the new drive. Don't really understand what any of this means.
  22. The original disk 2 that had all my data on it that failed went into this "unmountable" mode. I tried several things to get it to mount and work but no go. I knew the drive was starting to fail so I assumed it finally had done so. I replaced the drive and started the server with the new hard disk and added it to the disc 2. The new drive also showed unmountable at the beginning of the parity/re-build as it currently does in the screen shot. So that brings me to this as now I'm scared of losing my TB's worth of data that was on that original disk 2. Should I do the file system check/repair on the brand new drive that is currently installed or on the one that was failing?
  23. My disk 2 has been failing and finally shot craps Saturday. I had a new drive I had purchased to replace it and did the swap. Started the server back up and added the new drive to disk 2. The server did a parity/re-build for the last 20 hours. However, disk 2 still shows unmountable and I can't access it even though the system says it's ready and under normal operation. WTF is going on?
  24. Guess the bridge idea is no good?
  25. I've been reading a lot on the net over the last day about this. Would purchasing another good wireless router AC or better and connecting it to the UNRAID server as a bridge, Would that work? From what I've read powerline networking would have major speeds issues, But I could be wrong and it's just what I've been gathering from my reads. Again, Can't trust everything you read. I don't mind spending the money, I just want the most full proof way to run the server wireless and maintain good speeds for streaming and data transfers.
